Dining at Jiangnan Zao was a highlight: the ingredients were fresh and top-notch. The pickled turnip with preserved vegetables was surprisingly delicious, the fish head incredibly fresh, and the sweet-and-sour ribs? Absolutely unforgettable. My friend devoured the stir-fried beef in no time—proof it was a hit! Bonus: guests staying at the hotel can enjoy complimentary room service from Jiangnan Zao—even if you’re not on the waitlist. Plus, the Christmas decorations were beautifully done, adding a magical touch to the entire stay. Honestly, I’m already planning my next visit—Shangri-La truly wins my heart every time.

On New Year’s Day, our room was beautifully set with welcome fruits, and they were restocked throughout our stay along with refreshing drinks—so thoughtful. The rooms were spacious, with smart bathroom layout and top-quality bedding that made for an incredibly peaceful night’s sleep, completely quiet and cozy. We also tried the hotel’s spa, and the therapist’s technique was excellent—very relaxing and professional. During our time in Nanjing, we explored some local highlights and enjoyed authentic street food, all of which added to the joyful atmosphere. Everyone in the family had a wonderful time. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from Wutai Mountain Gymnasium, making post-game plans super convenient. After the match, I even managed to grab some autographs from players at the venue before strolling back to the hotel at a relaxed pace—perfect for winding down. I’m happy to say the hotel has been upgraded since my last stay, especially the breakfast buffet, which now offers a much wider variety and far better quality than three years ago. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—they even upgraded my room without hesitation! It’s clear they care about guest experience. Location-wise, it’s super convenient—just a 10-minute walk to Xuanwu Lake, perfect for a quick stroll while my kid rested. Breakfast was plentiful and satisfying, and I appreciated the free parking, laundry facilities, and on-site gym. My child’s winter coat got washed and dried right there, so we didn’t have to worry about them going back to school in damp clothes. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, making the whole experience stress-free. If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and family-friendly stay near the lake with great service, this is definitely the place. Highly recommend!
