I especially appreciated the on-site laundry facilities—great for longer stays. Breakfast was a highlight: a generous spread of both Western and Chinese options, plus authentic local snacks that brought a real taste of Shanghai. The robot delivery service for food orders added a fun, modern touch without compromising convenience. While higher floors did pick up some highway noise, the overall environment remained quiet and secure. With its unbeatable value and central location, this is truly one of the best choices for visiting Shanghai. I’ll definitely be returning.

Staying at Shanghai Miller Villa Hotel felt like stepping into a fairy tale—rich in history and charm from the moment you walk in. The exterior might not scream 'new and flashy,' but inside, everything has that timeless elegance of old-money quality—the bedding was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. Even small details like the hairdryer, flooring, and seating had a refined, classic touch. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and the short castle tour offered surprising insights and fun facts. Shanghai Xujiahui A.T.HOUSE Jia Di Hotel

Walking out of the metro station and turning the corner brings you right to the door—super convenient. The hotel is just steps away from Xujiahui Cathedral and Xujiahui Library, with luxury shopping hubs like Hongkong Plaza and Meiluo City nearby. If you're heading to Shanghai Stadium or Sports Arena for a concert, it's only one stop on the metro—or even easier, a short walk or bike ride away. This A.T.HOUSE property has that modern art vibe I love. The second-floor afternoon tea lounge and late-night dining spot are both stylish and inviting. The pastries are delicious, and the chicken soup wontons as well as the pork-filled dumplings are seriously satisfying. I was originally booked into a room type that wasn’t available yet, but the team kindly upgraded me to a Premium Suite—huge upgrade in space, view, and design. Everything felt thoughtfully curated. I ordered fresh fruit platters after my concert, and they arrived at my door in no time. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the service throughout was top-notch. Even at check-out, they handed me a lovely souvenir—a large record-shaped biscuit box that’s both cute and tasty. If there’s another concert in town, this will be my go-to hotel again.

The French restaurant on the second floor is exceptional—elegant, delicious, and worth every penny, especially for a romantic dinner or a memorable celebration. Kevin from the concierge team went above and beyond, suggesting some amazing local Shanghainese eateries that were both authentic and affordable—definitely a highlight of the trip. Belle from the guest relations team gave us a warm, personalized tour of the hotel, sharing fascinating details about its design and amenities. It felt less like checking in and more like being welcomed into a home. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and every detail exuded sophistication. If you're looking for a luxurious yet genuinely welcoming stay in Shanghai, this is it—10/10, would book again in a heartbeat.

Radisson Collection Hotel,Xing Guo Shanghai

I’ve passed by this hotel countless times while commuting, always dreaming of staying here—and finally made it happen. The moment I stepped into the grand lobby with its soaring ceiling and dazzling crystal chandelier, I knew this was going to be special. The property sits on nearly 60,000 square meters of private garden, making it feel like a hidden European estate right in the heart of bustling Shanghai. From the very first greeting, the service was exceptional—Esther from front desk went above and beyond: upgraded our room, offered a two-hour late check-out without hesitation, and even shared her WeChat for easy communication. That kind of personal touch is rare. Breakfast was an absolute highlight—huge variety, beautifully presented. From freshly steamed dim sum and handmade noodles to a wide selection of breads, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and even ice cream, every detail was thoughtfully curated. But what truly stole the show was the garden. Lush green lawns, mature trees casting dappled sunlight, historic buildings nestled among foliage—perfect for quiet strolls or Instagram-worthy shots. Every corner feels like a scene from a film. The pool is clean and refreshingly salty—almost like swimming in the sea! Plus, there are two hot tubs nearby, perfect for unwinding. The changing rooms are spacious, with full amenities including a sauna, steam room, and even a lounge area with TV where you can just lie back and relax. This might be the most comfortable five-star experience I’ve ever had. Security staff were friendly and attentive throughout, adding to that welcoming, home-away-from-home feeling. It was an unforgettable New Year’s getaway—serene, elegant, and utterly luxurious.
