Sujeongjang
My stay at Sujeongjang was extremely disappointing. The owner was extremely unfriendly and avoided answering my questions directly, making it clear they didn’t care about guest concerns. The room itself was in poor condition—stuffy air, unpleasant odor, and questionable cleanliness. When I raised issues related to the property’s condition and requested a refund, I was met with constant excuses and no real resolution. It’s clear the management doesn’t prioritize guest satisfaction. This experience was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Definitely not worth the price, and I won’t be returning.

HeungStay is an absolute gem for the price. Even though the staff doesn’t speak English, their friendliness and willingness to help made a big difference. The room was spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed—clean bedding, functional furniture, working AC, TV, mini-fridge—all in great condition. The layout felt smart and spacious despite the compact size. I especially appreciated how tidy and fresh everything looked. Location-wise, it’s just a short walk from the subway station, making it super convenient for exploring Seoul. For travelers who want comfort without breaking the bank, this place is a real winner.

What truly stood out was the front desk staff member who happened to be from Hong Kong—when they noticed we didn’t speak Korean, they went above and beyond to assist with check-in, patiently guiding us through the process. It’s rare to feel such genuine care while traveling far from home. I really wanted to thank them in person, but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to see them again. Finding a familiar face in a foreign city made all the difference—it felt like a small but meaningful connection. A heartfelt thanks to that kind soul for making our stay so much more personal and welcoming.
Dongjak (Daebangdong) Hyu
I stayed here during Chuseok and was pleasantly surprised. Compared to the nearby motels, this place stands out as a much better option—especially if you're staying in Dongjak or Daebangdong area. The rooms have great potential; with a bit more upkeep, it could easily be a solid 4-star hotel. It's just a short walk from the subway station, making commuting super convenient. There are plenty of dining options around, so whether you're hanging out with friends or enjoying a quiet evening with your partner, this is the perfect spot to unwind. A truly relaxing and comfortable stay that feels like your own personal retreat.
