We’ve been returning to Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa for three years now, and it just keeps getting better. The property is beautifully maintained—lush landscaping, sparkling pools, and a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The only small note is that the windows don’t have blackout curtains—just adjustable shades that don’t fully block out sunlight. Walking over to Sea World is super easy—just a quick stroll across the bridge. The only downside? A $45 resort fee and $36 for self-parking, which adds up. Upon arriving at the lobby to check in, I noticed someone behind me accidentally stepped on a cockroach. Honestly, that moment made me question my choice—had I made a mistake? But having lived in Florida my whole life, I knew this wasn’t uncommon, so I let it go. The room itself was spotless and exactly what we needed after a long day. Perfect location for SeaWorld and Aquatica—the main reason we came. There are two great restaurants nearby, making dining out super convenient. Breakfast was outstanding! I especially loved the mini egg quiche muffins—they were rich, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. One downside? Parking is charged separately. It would’ve been much better if parking was included in the room rate. Overall, a solid stay with just one small improvement needed.

We checked in around 7 PM and were greeted by a friendly staff member with a unique name—sorry we didn’t get the chance to write it down, but I hope he gets recognized for his great service. Unfortunately, about three hours later, we noticed the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room. We reported it right away, and although a technician was sent, the issue wasn’t resolved. The next morning, James answered our call at the front desk and sincerely apologized. He explained that the repair couldn’t be done until the following day, but then Zoe and Jillian stepped in with exceptional care—they quickly arranged a room transfer to a more comfortable suite with fully functioning AC. Their professionalism, empathy, and prompt action made all the difference. Despite the initial hiccup, the team’s dedication turned what could’ve been a frustrating experience into a memorable one. We had an amazing time exploring the resort and enjoyed every moment. This level of guest care is rare, and we’re already planning our return visit. Thank you for going above and beyond—you’ve earned a loyal customer!
