This was my first time staying at Homeinn Selected, and I have to say it exceeded my expectations—especially coming from a more familiar chain. The room itself is clean and well-maintained, though I noticed there’s no makeup mirror or full-length mirror, which made getting ready a bit tricky. Not sure if this applies to all rooms, but it’s something worth mentioning. The QR code on the nightstand for free amenities didn’t work after submission—was a bit disappointing—but the robot delivery service made up for it! It was fun watching the little bot bring up snacks and toiletries. Water pressure from the showerhead is on the weak side, so you’ll need to wait a few seconds for it to build up. Still, it’s manageable. The location is fantastic—just a 10-15 minute walk to Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen Botanical Garden. If you’re not in the mood to walk, taxis or shared bikes are super easy to find nearby. While other attractions are a bit farther, the hotel’s convenience and staff attitude really stand out. It felt respectful, not pushy. I also appreciated the dedicated travel concierge desk—staff were eager to assist, offering personalized recommendations for local spots, hidden gems, and must-visit cafes without ever seeming impatient. Their enthusiasm made a big difference. Overall, the comfort, convenience, and genuine care here made this stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely come back when I return to Xiamen.

And if you’re into seafood, don’t miss nearby A-Zhong Seafood Restaurant. Just step off the train and head straight there for a delicious bowl of oyster rice.
