He upgraded our room without hesitation, reminded us about breakfast time, and even arranged a late check-out, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room itself was spotless, beautifully appointed with French-inspired decor that my girlfriend loved. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and smartly designed—bed linens were soft and breathable, and the bathroom felt like a spa. The fitness center and laundry facilities were kept in excellent condition. I was amazed by the robot delivery service—when I requested makeup remover wipes and face masks for my girlfriend, they arrived at the door within minutes. Located just steps away from Huangxing Pedestrian Street, the location couldn’t be better—everything we wanted to see was within walking distance, and the subway station is super convenient. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and staff are friendly and helpful. For the quality and value, I’d give it a solid 10 out of 10. If I ever come back to Hunan, I’ll definitely book here again. One quick note: while Fire Palace is famous, don’t expect the same experience everywhere. We found that the free snacks like tangyuan (sweet rice balls) and stinky tofu were treated differently depending on where you went. At the business dining area, scanning the QR code got us a full serving with six toppings, but at the street food section, it was just three pieces with basic condiments—same brand, totally different treatment. It felt inconsistent, especially since both were free. Honestly, some random roadside stalls had tastier stinky tofu than their version. So if you’re craving local flavors, explore beyond the branded spots—sometimes the real gems are hidden in plain sight.

The room was spotless and meticulously cleaned every day; the housekeeping staff were attentive and proactive. What really stood out was the location—right on the banks of the Xiang River. I could enjoy the stunning nighttime light show across both sides of the river from my window—absolutely breathtaking. The service was exceptional too, especially the front desk staff member, Xiao Cao. I accidentally left an item behind, and she reached out immediately to arrange shipping it back to me. That kind of care goes a long way. This place exceeded all expectations—great value, fantastic atmosphere, and unforgettable views. The front desk staff, Lisha, was incredibly friendly, professional, and warm—the kind of service that truly reflects the InterContinental standard. Located right next to Changsha Museum and Beichen Hui Mall, the hotel offers easy access to culture, shopping, and scenic walks along the river. Spend your mornings basking in the sun by the water or enjoy the golden hour sunset in the evening—this place feels like a peaceful escape without being far from everything. I could even spot nearby famous food streets and popular local spots like Dongmao Street tea stalls and Denglong Street's famous 'Bunna' shop. The hotel’s location is perfect—elegant yet close to real street life, with countless trendy cafés and small shops just outside. Cleanliness was impeccable—no flaws anywhere.
