Funabori Park features expansive wetlands and birdwatching trails, one of Tokyo’s rare conservation areas. Visitors can join guided programs such as spring cherry blossom tours, autumn foliage walks, and wildlife photography workshops, gaining insight into local ecosystems. The park also hosts family-friendly nature classes where kids can make plant specimens and observe insects.

Additionally, an annual nighttime light art exhibition transforms the water features with dynamic lighting installations during summer, creating a magical atmosphere. Bring mosquito repellent and comfortable walking shoes, and register online in advance to secure participation.

These activities offer a rare urban sanctuary for nature lovers, combining recreation with environmental education. The park’s ecological significance makes it a must-visit destination within Tokyo.

Staying at hotels like Ramada Plaza Tokyo Bay or Shinagawa Sun City Hotel offers significant geographical convenience, allowing easy access to Funabori Park for morning walks, picnics, or birdwatching. Many properties provide free parking and luggage storage, ideal for travelers with long itineraries. Some rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the park’s lake and forested areas.

Located in the Shinagawa commercial district, these hotels are surrounded by department stores, restaurants, and shopping centers, ensuring excellent lifestyle amenities. Opt for breakfast-inclusive packages to save time and costs. Whether for business or family travel, guests enjoy efficiency and comfort throughout their stay.

Funabori Park is open daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, closed every Monday (rescheduled if a public holiday). Entry is free of charge, though fees apply for certain facilities like the children’s playground, nature classroom, and special events—check the official website for updates.

The park offers vending machines, restrooms, and shaded shelters for visitor convenience. To protect the ecosystem, please refrain from feeding wildlife or picking plants. Wear lightweight clothing and non-slip shoes, and bring drinking water. Opening hours and fee details are available via the Tokyo Metropolitan Parks Management Office website for real-time accuracy.

Vessel Inn Asakusa Tsukuba Express

A go-to choice for anyone visiting Asakusa! I always stay in a single room, and the bed size and room space are just right—not too cramped, not too spacious. The bathroom is clean and very functional, making it easy to use. What really stands out is the check-in starting at 2:00 PM and the welcome drink available until 11:00 PM—such a thoughtful touch. During this stay, I was lucky enough to catch the 'Moon Viewing Thief' event—a fun, festive little experience that added a unique charm to my visit. It’s rare to find such a cozy hotel with such warm hospitality and special events. Highly recommend!

Ritz Residence Sumida

They quickly arranged an extra bed without any hassle. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Location-wise, it’s super convenient for getting around Tokyo—just a short subway ride to Asakusa and Akihabara. Clean, well-organized, and great value for money. Hibikiya

Staying at Hibikiya in Asakusa was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming—genuinely made us feel at home. I've stayed in many hotels across Tokyo, but this homestay completely redefined my expectations. For the price, you'd barely get a 20 sqm room in a hotel, often cramped with no space to unpack, but here we had around 70 sqm of open, airy space—so much more than I expected. The entire place is beautifully designed with traditional Japanese tatami flooring, clean and fresh without that typical hotel carpet smell. Everything you’d need is included: washing machine, TV, air conditioning, underfloor heating, kettle, microwave, fridge, and even a full set of kitchenware. It felt like staying in a real home, not just a room. Location-wise, it’s a bit far from the nearest subway station, but if your main goal is visiting Senso-ji Temple, it’s actually ideal—just a short walk away, surrounded by quiet streets. One thing I was worried about—Japanese buildings are usually noisy—but here, it was surprisingly peaceful, especially at night. No street sounds, no creaking floors, just pure serenity. Nearby, you’ve got Skytree and the beautiful Sumida Ward, where you can explore the legacy of Hokusai. If you want authenticity, tranquility, and a true taste of local life in Tokyo, this place delivers on every level. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step off the tourist trail and enjoy a genuine, comfortable stay.

The place is spotlessly clean, well-organized, and offers great luggage storage options, which made checking in and out so easy. Whether you're exploring Tokyo on a budget or just need a comfortable, reliable base, this hostel delivers everything you'd want. It's not just affordable—it feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended for any traveler visiting Tokyo.

Asakusa View Hotel

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, a staff member warmly greeted me and took my luggage to check in—such a thoughtful touch. They personally escorted me to my room, giving a quick but helpful overview of the amenities along the way. The room itself was significantly larger than what I’ve experienced in Shinjuku, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the tower. While the nighttime lighting isn’t overly dramatic, the morning views are absolutely stunning. What really made it special was finding a handwritten welcome note from the front desk staff tucked by the door—so personal and heartfelt. It’s clear they care about guest experience. Conveniently located, quiet atmosphere, and excellent value. I’ll definitely be coming back to Tokyo and choosing this hotel again.

Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel

We stayed here with our kids and were really impressed—this hotel exceeded our expectations. Even though it’s not in central Tokyo, getting here from Tokyo Station is super easy via the JR Keiyō Line (just 3 stops). The hotel itself is spotless, modern, and spacious—our room easily fit three suitcases with room to spare. Everything was clean and well-maintained, just like the photos show. The bathroom and amenities were top-notch, and we appreciated the free bottled water provided in-room. One of the highlights? A complimentary public bath on-site—perfect for relaxing after a long day. Located right across from Shiomi Station’s east exit, the hotel is super convenient. Just steps away, there’s a FamilyMart for snacks and essentials, and walking left from the west exit leads you to a large supermarket stocked with fresh fruit, drinks, treats, and even ice cream—ideal for families. Whether heading to Kidzania, Toyosu, or Disneyland, the location makes travel hassle-free. We’ll definitely be back—this place is a hidden gem with excellent value.

Asakusa View Hotel Annex Rokku

Staying at Asakusa View Hotel Annex Rokku was a real highlight of my trip to Tokyo. Even though it’s a short walk from the nearest subway station and the station itself has quite a few stairs—something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with luggage—the hotel offers incredible value for money. It's perfectly located in a lively yet peaceful area, surrounded by convenience stores, restaurants, and cozy izakayas—perfect for dinner or late-night snacks. The best part? Free drinks and light snacks are served on the 10th floor from afternoon to evening, where you can enjoy a drink while soaking in the stunning views of the Tokyo Skytree at night. It’s a small but thoughtful touch that makes your stay feel extra special. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a great vibe in central Tokyo.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Toyosu Premier / Tokyo

Staying at Mitsui Garden Hotel Toyosu Premier was a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in a quiet, upscale area of Tokyo, just a short walk from the subway station—very convenient for exploring the city. As a trusted brand under the Mitsui name, I felt confident in the cleanliness and quality of facilities right from arrival. The lobby is on the 36th floor, while the rooms are spread across floors 33 to 35, offering a peaceful atmosphere. I was initially assigned to the 34th floor, which had some noise from nearby elevators, but the staff immediately upgraded me to the 35th floor with no hassle. The view from the higher floor was absolutely worth it—breathtaking panoramic views of Tokyo Bay and the skyline. The service was discreet yet attentive, reflecting that classic Japanese hospitality. While the neighborhood isn’t bustling, it’s perfect if you value tranquility and want a quiet retreat after a long day. Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value, comfort, and attention to detail. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate understated elegance and top-tier service.

Hotel East 21 Tokyo

Staying at Hotel East 21 Tokyo was an absolute highlight of my trip! The room was spotless and incredibly clean, with a great view from the window—perfect for people-watching or just relaxing after a long day. What really stood out? Free shuttle buses to Disneyland, which made getting there and back a breeze. After a full day of fun at the park, having a comfortable ride straight to the hotel door was such a relief. Even though the windows are sealed, there’s a small vent underneath that lets in fresh air—no stuffiness at all. There’s also a paid shuttle to the airport, which is convenient if you’re flying out early. And let’s talk about location—there are so many dining options nearby, plus a big supermarket and beauty store right on the ground floor. Everything I needed was just steps away.
