Right next door is the trail leading up to Shangnan Gaofeng; we took our kids on a leisurely 1.5-hour walk, enjoying lush tea fields and panoramic views of West Lake along the way before descending through Yinxia Cave. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality. The staff went above and beyond for two elderly guests with mobility challenges—they kindly arranged a late check-out and even offered a nap time. Our luggage was carried by a sweet young staff member, and the owner even treated us to roasted sweet potatoes! My child devoured two on the ride home, grinning ear to ear. This was hands down the best booking of our trip—booked early before prices went up, and the value for money was outstanding. Nestled on San Tai Mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat with fresh air and stunning natural surroundings. The nearest bus stop is at Yu Qian Temple, but we actually preferred walking to Wugui Tan to try the rowboat ride—unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather, but we made up for it by taking a scenic water bus from Guo Zhuang Pier to Hua Gang Guan Yu. The views along the way were absolutely beautiful. After exploring Hua Gang Guan Yu, we returned via the Xiao Lian Qing Feng line from Su Di Pier, which dropped us right at Yu Qian Temple Station—perfect for heading back to the hotel. One small downside: limited food delivery options nearby, but overall, the experience was flawless. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm.

It comes with a washer and dryer right in the room. Even better, the complimentary toiletries include laundry detergent—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast is served at a restaurant in the underground food plaza, where you get vouchers to pick your own dishes. There’s a wide variety of options, and everything is delicious. You can enjoy a full meal for under $20—truly great value. I’ll definitely be back!
