The location couldn’t be better—just steps from downtown Tulum, perfect for exploring the area on foot or hopping on a quick ride. Samy at reception was truly exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a calm, inviting atmosphere and excellent security that gave us peace of mind throughout our stay. The only minor downside was a small charge for makeup left on the towels, but honestly, it’s such a tiny detail and the overall experience far outweighs it. If you’re looking for a stylish, safe, and centrally located spot in Tulum without sacrificing comfort, this place is a top pick. Highly recommend!

Staying at Azura Boutique Hotel was an absolute delight, especially the two-bedroom apartment which felt like a spacious home away from home. From the moment we walked in, the air-conditioned living area welcomed us with generous space—two sofas and a large dining table for six fit perfectly into this open, airy room. The TV worked flawlessly, and I appreciated being able to plug in my USB device. Free Wi-Fi was strong and reliable throughout our stay. Both bedrooms were comfortably air-conditioned, with plush beds and pillows that made for excellent sleep. Each room came with its own en-suite bathroom featuring powerful showers and 24-hour hot water—no cold surprises here. There’s also a well-stocked vanity with extra toiletries, a chest of drawers, and a built-in wall unit with ample storage for clothes and luggage. Even better, there’s an additional drawer space for anything else you might bring along. Plus, fresh towels, clean bedding, and a safe were provided—storage wasn’t an issue at all. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook or self-cater: gas stove, fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery, cups, and a coffee machine with complimentary pods and tea bags delivered daily. Though a kettle would’ve been nice, everything else was top-notch. What really stood out was the daily cleaning—towels, linens, soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, lotions, and kitchen surfaces were all refreshed every day. My son and his girlfriend stayed in the smaller one-bedroom unit (no kitchen), but it was still very spacious and well-appointed with AC, Wi-Fi, TV, mini-fridge, coffee machine, and even a fold-out sofa bed when needed. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—just 200 meters from Tulum’s main street, with a local Oxxo store right across the road. The rooftop features two charming little plunge pools and is the only designated smoking area—perfect for relaxing with a drink while enjoying the view. Staff spoke limited English but were always friendly and eager to help, whether arranging taxis or planning excursions. Yes, the price is on the higher side—around £170–200 per night for the two-bedroom, and £140–150 for the single bedroom—but honestly, it was worth every penny. This place feels special, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly well-maintained. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, privacy, and a touch of luxury in Tulum.

We stayed at Lumina at Losantos Tulum in the Santomar building with another family—four adults and four kids aged 11 to 14—for six nights in a premium three-bedroom apartment. The space was more than enough for everyone, though the dining table only seats six and the sofa fits about four to five if we squeezed together. What really stood out was having three full bathrooms, which kept the kids from crowding into our private area—huge plus for family comfort. Our concierge was incredibly responsive via WhatsApp whenever we needed extra paper towels, trash bags, or anything else. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer on-site—perfect for long stays with kids. The pool is stunning, with crystal-clear water that’s just the right temperature. The rooms are beautifully designed with tasteful decor and super-comfortable beds that made for great sleep. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from a large Super Chedraui supermarket, which we visited several times during our stay for snacks and essentials. Overall, this place offers incredible value for such a beautiful, peaceful setting. The resort overall was an excellent experience—beautiful setting, great location, and friendly staff. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. Several restaurants only opened on a rotating basis, with just two available daily, so we couldn’t try all the dining options. That said, it’s disappointing for a property of this caliber. More concerning was the cleanliness issue near our room—guests from the adjacent unit kept ordering meals, and leftover food was left in the hallway for days. A fork remained on the stairs for four full days with no one picking it up. The poolside snack bar served burgers and light bites for one day but was completely closed for two others while we were at the pool. Instead of service, we found scattered food remnants where birds were feeding, and no staff appeared to clean up. Only late in the afternoon did someone show up to collect the trash—but they didn’t even wipe down the counters or clean the grills. These lapses are hard to overlook for a resort that markets itself as top-tier. Despite these shortcomings, the rest of the stay was fantastic. With tighter operational oversight, this place could easily be flawless.
