Drinks served at the on-site bars don’t match the quality expected from a Secrets property, which is disappointing given the brand’s reputation. The beach club experience is also hindered by long transfers—expect to spend 30 to 60 minutes just getting there and back, which cuts into relaxation time. Overall, it feels more tailored to younger travelers looking for a vibrant, casual vibe rather than a refined, relaxing escape. If you’re okay with the commute and don’t mind a less polished atmosphere, it still offers a unique tropical setting. But if comfort and seamless service are priorities, this might not be the best fit.

The only minor downside was a small charge for makeup left on the towels, but honestly, it’s such a tiny detail and the overall experience far outweighs it. If you’re looking for a stylish, safe, and centrally located spot in Tulum without sacrificing comfort, this place is a top pick. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic escape that truly nourishes the soul, this is the place. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to everyone I know.

Honestly, I could have dined there every night without ever getting bored. And then there’s Orchidea—the heart of the experience. Attentive, genuinely kind, always one step ahead of our needs. When we asked for recommendations on where to go next, she suggested other Colibrì properties—and we trusted her implicitly. We’re so glad we did. Mezzanine isn’t just a hotel; it’s a living memory of beauty, taste, and human connection. This is one place I know I’ll return to—because some moments stay with you forever. 💙🌴
Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa
The resort overall was an excellent experience—beautiful setting, great location, and friendly staff. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. Several restaurants only opened on a rotating basis, with just two available daily, so we couldn’t try all the dining options. That said, it’s disappointing for a property of this caliber. More concerning was the cleanliness issue near our room—guests from the adjacent unit kept ordering meals, and leftover food was left in the hallway for days. A fork remained on the stairs for four full days with no one picking it up. The poolside snack bar served burgers and light bites for one day but was completely closed for two others while we were at the pool. Instead of service, we found scattered food remnants where birds were feeding, and no staff appeared to clean up. Only late in the afternoon did someone show up to collect the trash—but they didn’t even wipe down the counters or clean the grills. These lapses are hard to overlook for a resort that markets itself as top-tier. Despite these shortcomings, the rest of the stay was fantastic. With tighter operational oversight, this place could easily be flawless.

The room was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night's sleep. What stood out most was the location: just a short walk from downtown Tulum, making it easy to explore local restaurants, shops, and attractions. The value for money is outstanding—this place offers a premium experience without the premium price. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tulum looking for a peaceful yet convenient stay. Would definitely come back.

This hotel is absolutely charming—feels like a peaceful little oasis surrounded by lush greenery. The location is perfect: just a short walk from the ADO bus station and right in the heart of Tulum’s vibrant area, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. My room was thoughtfully equipped with a comfy bed, ample space for luggage, a small table with chairs, a mini kitchenette, a smart TV, reliable hot water, air conditioning, and free filtered water. The manager, Guillermo, went above and beyond—he took time to help me check bus and train schedules, even stored some of my belongings while I visited another city for a few days before returning for my last night in Tulum. I also loved the on-site café; the coffee was rich and aromatic, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. This place truly stood out for its warmth, convenience, and attention to detail. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tulum.

The location is ideal: just a short walk to the main street leading into Tulum, and there’s a supermarket nearby for essentials. Everything you need is within reach, making it super convenient for exploring the area. This place offers such great value and charm—definitely a highlight of our trip, and we’d happily return.
Mak Tulum Luxury Condo Hotel at Aldea Zama, Tulum
I wouldn't recommend this property. The access code provided for the lockbox didn't work, and when I tried reaching out to the contact person, they never responded. It was only after contacting another representative from the same company that I finally got help. Communication throughout the entire process was poor and frustrating. Additionally, the listing is misleading—advertising proximity to the beach, but in reality, it's quite far away. The unit itself is very small for the price, making it feel overpriced and not worth the money. Overall, a disappointing experience with little value for what you pay.
