Staying at Jin Hai Hua LOHAS Huayu Dongfang Hotel was an absolute delight! The room came with a wine opener and crystal glasses—such a thoughtful touch that made the experience feel extra special. The entire property has a subtle, pleasant fragrance throughout, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. The view from the window is breathtaking, offering a perfect blend of nature and cityscape. I was upgraded to a higher room for free, which was a lovely surprise. Even better? There was a tiny dog living in the adjacent room—adorable and so full of personality! The only minor hiccup was with the screen mirroring feature; it wasn’t clear which room the signal was coming from, but honestly, it didn’t take away from the overall amazing stay. The grand Christmas tree in the lobby added such a magical atmosphere. Our kids loved the kids' play area so much they didn’t want to leave! We always come to Jinji Lake and have stayed at InterContinental Suzhou multiple times—truly a go-to choice. The hotel overlooks the lake, and Moonlight Pier is just across the bridge—super convenient for walking or taking the metro. This time, we brought my elderly parent who had just recovered from a fracture; mobility was limited, and even eating and moving around were challenging. From check-in onward, the staff went above and beyond. When we requested two rooms, they kindly arranged adjacent ones for easier supervision. Throughout breakfast and dinner buffet service, the team showed exceptional care. During dinner, a young, friendly server noticed our situation and proactively brought a cushion so my parent could elevate their injured arm—something that actually helped with swelling. He even explained the medical reasoning behind it! That level of thoughtfulness and knowledge stood out. Every interaction felt personal, warm, and professional. We’ve already taken photos of several team members’ name tags—we’d love to see them recognized by the hotel. Definitely coming back again!

In the evening, we headed to the Ferris wheel and were pleasantly surprised by how few people were in line—got tickets and boarded right away, enjoying stunning views of the city skyline. The hotel’s Chinese restaurant served amazing noodles with crisp vegetables, and the squirrel-shaped mandarin fish was freshly prepared—absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a highlight too, with a diverse menu including sesame dumplings, Ao Zao noodles, egg rolls, Benedict eggs, sweet pea and pomelo cheese salad, and the yellow peach milk banana pancake—each dish was flavorful and satisfying. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. From comfort to convenience, every detail was spot-on. This place truly delivers on luxury and value. I’ll definitely be back.

Although the hotel was undergoing renovations to the temple and Building 8, and it was winter, I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the beautiful garden scenery of Nanyuan. Still, the overall experience was outstanding. The staff were exceptional—helping with luggage, offering electric shuttle service between buildings, and ensuring comfort throughout. Even in the evening, the fitness center and swimming pool were warm and inviting, so no worries about getting cold. Breakfast was one of the better ones in this chain: the noodle stall stood out with unique items like sesame brown sugar smoothies and a special vegetarian pan-fried dumpling. Staff were attentive—the moment my mom sat down, someone asked if she wanted soy milk, and three cups arrived right away. The duplex room was spacious, especially the second-floor bedroom, which felt very comfortable. A few facilities could use upgrading—like the showerhead pressure and the small, outdated changing rooms at the pool area. That said, the evening ambiance in the lobby was truly magical: soft melodies from pipa and guqin performances created a peaceful, almost tea-house-like atmosphere. Sitting back with a cup of tea and chatting quietly was incredibly relaxing. Huge thanks to Xiao Yueyue at reception, and all the front desk and concierge team—your warmth and professionalism made a lasting impression.
