The apartment-style unit came with full kitchen facilities, a washing machine, and plenty of storage, making it super convenient for longer stays or families. It’s perfectly located near the riverfront, just a short walk to scenic views and local cafes. Public transport access to downtown Perth is also excellent. The staff member (a young guy) was not only handsome but also incredibly helpful and attentive, running around to assist with everything. He even offered to lend me a charging cable—a small touch, but very thoughtful. There were complimentary bottled waters in the room, which was a nice surprise. The bedroom didn’t have air conditioning, but the living area had strong cooling, so it wasn’t an issue. Just a heads-up: there’s no mobile key access—guests need to bring a local bank card for check-in. A refundable deposit of AUD 300 is required, which will be returned within five business days after checkout. Location is great, clean, well-maintained, and the value for money is excellent. Definitely a place I’d recommend and return to.

One thing to note: if you're sensitive to constant road noise, it might be a consideration since traffic sounds are noticeable 24/7. We used earplugs and had no issues sleeping. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money, great location, and easy access to public transit. Would definitely book again and recommend to others looking for a spacious and convenient stay in Perth.
Billabong Backpackers Resort
The location of Billabong Backpackers Resort is fantastic—just a 20-minute downhill walk from East Perth Station, which offers direct access to the airport. It’s also super convenient with a Woolies supermarket and a BWS liquor store right nearby. Every morning, they provide fresh bread for toast or PB&J, plus cereal and milk—perfect for a quick breakfast without leaving the hostel. The private room was spacious, well-equipped with a kettle, mugs, and complimentary tea and coffee supplies. There’s a $10 refundable deposit for dining sets, which is fair considering the quality. One small downside: Wi-Fi is only available in common areas, so no internet in the room. But the staff more than make up for it—they’re friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations. We followed their advice to book a ferry to Rottnest Island to see the quokkas, and they even arranged pickup and drop-off, making the whole experience seamless. The kitchen is huge and well-stocked, so preparing your own meals is easy and enjoyable. Overall, this place offers excellent value, a welcoming vibe, and a great base for exploring Perth.
