Staying at West Lake Soeng Ji Villa was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the West Lake, making it incredibly easy to explore the area on foot or by public transit. The garden design is truly exceptional: winding stone steps blend seamlessly with lush greenery, creating that authentic Chinese classical garden atmosphere. At night, the ambiance transforms into something magical—serene and enchanting. The staff went above and beyond. Our personal concierge reached out in advance to confirm check-in details, which made everything smooth right from the beginning. When we used a local luggage delivery service, the front desk kindly stored our bags without any hassle. I asked if they had mosquito repellent, and a friendly staff member instantly provided a small travel-sized bottle—such a thoughtful touch! The room itself was immaculate, spotless, and fully equipped with all the essentials. What really stood out was the complimentary warm red date and wolfberry soup served in a thermos—it felt like a personal gesture of care. Breakfast was a delightful selection of Cantonese dim sum, with plenty of variety and excellent flavor. Every bite was satisfying. This place offers such a perfect balance of tranquility, elegance, and hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the heart of Hangzhou in style and comfort.

Back in Jiuxi again, and of course I chose this place once more. The new coffee menu is a real highlight—the 'Layflat Duck' afternoon tea was absolutely worth the visit. The room upgrade was a nice surprise, especially the family-friendly room that my kids loved climbing around in. The staff and housekeepers were incredibly warm and welcoming—felt like coming home. Cleanliness and service are top-notch, no complaints at all. This has become one of my favorite hidden gems, and I’ve already recommended it to several friends. I’ll definitely be back just for that cozy vibe and that amazing coffee. Maybe a little VIP discount next time? 😉

Staying at Liangqi Shanyuan Holiday Inn in Hangzhou was an absolute delight. Nestled higher up, the views of the surrounding hills are breathtaking—there’s a real sense of tranquility, like being hidden in nature yet still close to the city vibe. The property is super convenient: parking is available, you can hang out with the friendly cats, go for a gentle hike, enjoy a cozy fire, and order takeout—all in one place. Right next door is the trail leading up to Shangnan Gaofeng; we took our kids on a leisurely 1.5-hour walk, enjoying lush tea fields and panoramic views of West Lake along the way before descending through Yinxia Cave. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality. The staff went above and beyond for two elderly guests with mobility challenges—they kindly arranged a late check-out and even offered a nap time. Our luggage was carried by a sweet young staff member, and the owner even treated us to roasted sweet potatoes! My child devoured two on the ride home, grinning ear to ear. Staying at Suyan Designer B&B was an absolute delight. Located just a short distance from Jiu Xi, the area is peaceful and surrounded by fresh, clean air—perfect for unwinding. The room I stayed in was a loft with a built-in projector that supports all major streaming apps, so movie nights were effortless and enjoyable. The on-site café on the ground floor where you can grab drinks and light snacks—no need to worry about supplies. The staff is attentive and available both during the day and night; any small issue was resolved quickly and kindly. Breakfast was included (see photo 1), and it was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Stayed in a tatami room for the first time and was genuinely impressed—much better than I expected! The room is spacious, spotlessly clean, and feels airy with fresh, crisp air. A truly peaceful retreat with excellent value. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a serene getaway!

I appreciated how close it was to public transit without being overwhelmed by noise or crowds. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, offering a homemade cup of tea upon arrival—a small touch that made a big difference. Breakfast was simple but delicious—freshly steamed buns and rice porridge made with care. It felt like a genuine home away from home. This time in Hangzhou for hiking, I chose this guesthouse again—and it didn’t disappoint. The location is fantastic: just a short walk from the Zoo Bus Terminal, making travel super convenient. The place keeps that authentic Japanese minimalist vibe—clean, calm, and well-maintained. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. My favorite part? The area around Hupao Manlong Guiyu—it feels like a peaceful green oasis, almost like a hidden park. Right now, the trees are ablaze with autumn colors, creating such a magical atmosphere for walking or just relaxing. If you're visiting Hangzhou for nature and quiet charm, this is the perfect base. Highly recommend for both comfort and convenience.

Stayed at Qingfeng Residence and was truly impressed by the exceptional service. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming—already had the air conditioning on before I even arrived, and offered to carry my luggage up. The location is perfect: just a short walk from West Lake, and following San Tai Shan Road leads you straight to several must-try restaurants on the local 'must-eat' list. The neighborhood feels peaceful yet convenient, with easy access to both attractions and great dining options. It’s rare to find such a thoughtful, homely atmosphere in a city like Hangzhou. This place offers incredible value and comfort—definitely planning to return.

Absolutely loved my stay at this charming little gem! As a cat lover, I was instantly charmed by Xiaohei, the friendly black cat who greeted me with purrs and head bumps—so sweet and relaxed. The room design is beautifully minimalist with a wabi-sabi aesthetic, and the view from the window is stunning, especially when cherry blossoms drift gently outside. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, with fresh ingredients and a great variety. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help or chat. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, authentic vibe with excellent value for money. Easy access to downtown via subway makes it even more convenient. This place truly feels like home away from home—definitely going back!

This was my third stay at this hotel, and every visit has been just as relaxing and satisfying as the last. The location is unbeatable—right next to Fahjing Temple and Fahjing Temple, with Lingyin Temple and Fajixi Temple just a short walk away. Surrounded by lush greenery and the calming scent of incense, the atmosphere feels incredibly peaceful and energetically clean. The staff, especially the concierge, are warm, attentive, and always ready to help—making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and tasty desserts. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and beautifully designed with a calm, modern aesthetic. It’s clear that attention to detail goes beyond just comfort—it’s about creating a truly restful retreat. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year.

This was hands down the best booking of our trip—booked early before prices went up, and the value for money was outstanding. Nestled on San Tai Mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat with fresh air and stunning natural surroundings. The nearest bus stop is at Yu Qian Temple, but we actually preferred walking to Wugui Tan to try the rowboat ride—unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather, but we made up for it by taking a scenic water bus from Guo Zhuang Pier to Hua Gang Guan Yu. The views along the way were absolutely beautiful. After exploring Hua Gang Guan Yu, we returned via the Xiao Lian Qing Feng line from Su Di Pier, which dropped us right at Yu Qian Temple Station—perfect for heading back to the hotel. One small downside: limited food delivery options nearby, but overall, the experience was flawless. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm.
