Kerry Hotel, Beijing

My stay at Kerry Hotel, Beijing was truly exceptional, thanks to the outstanding service from the staff. The front desk agent, Miss Sun Yan, was incredibly efficient and professional—check-in was quick and smooth, and she patiently answered all my questions with a warm smile. I especially appreciated her help during New Year's Eve for securing a great spot to enjoy the first-floor party; it made the celebration even more memorable. I also want to commend the housekeeping staff on the 16th floor, particularly Mr. Fan, who consistently maintained an immaculate environment. His attention to detail—like straightening misplaced items and ensuring every corner was spotless—made the entire floor feel fresh and welcoming. I initially planned to stay just one night, but the level of care and comfort convinced me to extend my booking. It’s rare to find such thoughtful hospitality in a luxury hotel, and this experience has definitely earned a repeat visit. Highly recommended.

Regent Beijing

Staying at Regent Beijing was an absolute highlight of my trip to Beijing. Located right in the heart of Wangfujing, it’s within walking distance—or just a quick bike ride—to major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the National Museum, Temple of Heaven, and Beihai Park. The hotel is literally steps from Dengshikou Metro Station, making public transit incredibly convenient. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Our room was on a high floor, offering breathtaking views of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park—waking up to that skyline view every morning was pure joy. Watching the sunset over the city's historic axis in the evening was unforgettable. The breakfast spread was exceptional: a great mix of Western and Chinese options, plus authentic local snacks that added a real taste of Beijing. I’d absolutely return here for any future visit to the city center. A perfect blend of luxury, location, and hospitality.

Lake View Hotel

The holiday atmosphere at Lake View Hotel in Beijing was absolutely incredible—right from the moment we stepped in, the decorations were festive and beautifully done. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Manager Du went above and beyond by personally arranging rooms for our family on the same floor and next to each other, which made everything so much easier with kids in tow. Even before we asked, he had already prepared child-sized toiletries and slippers—such a thoughtful touch! It’s clear that attention to detail is taken seriously here. We were genuinely surprised and delighted by how well-cared-for we felt throughout our stay. This wasn’t just a hotel—it felt like a home away from home. I’m already planning my next visit. I stumbled upon this hotel while attending a conference, and I’m so glad I did. It’s just a short walk from Shuangjing Metro Station, making it super convenient for getting around Beijing. The room was spacious and immaculately clean—especially loved the beautiful bathtub. But honestly, the highlight was the 27th-floor fitness center: bright, airy, and well-equipped. The Purple Horse(the Forbidden City,Tiananmen)

Staying at The Purple Horse was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—welcome cocktails were provided, and since we traveled with our kids, they even added a complimentary breakfast, which was a wonderful touch for families. Located in a quiet alleyway near Nanluoguxiang, stepping outside felt like walking through old Beijing: narrow lanes lined with ancient locust trees that gave the area such a unique charm. We chose this hotel specifically because it was convenient for visiting the China Art Museum, and compared to other nearby five-star options, the value-for-money was unbeatable. As a smoker, I really appreciated having a private balcony in the room—perfect for a quiet smoke without disturbing others or dealing with indoor restrictions. Everything about this stay was excellent: location, comfort, service, and atmosphere. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, authentic experience in Beijing.

Peking Yard Boutique Hotel

Staying at this traditional courtyard hotel in Beijing was hands down the best decision I made during my trip. Stepping into the shaded courtyard with its weathered bricks, gray tiles, and red pillars draped in lanterns instantly transported me away from the bustling city outside. The moment I arrived, I felt like I’d stepped into a quiet chapter of old Beijing’s history. What truly surprised me was the on-site café tucked within the serene garden—wooden tables under a glass roof let sunlight stream in, and sipping a perfectly brewed latte here, surrounded by the subtle scent of greenery, created a magical blend of Eastern charm and Western comfort. The lounge area is equally special—soft lighting, elegant plants, and tasteful design that balances traditional aesthetics with modern coziness. It’s the perfect place to unwind and embrace the art of slow living. Located just steps from the subway and popular alleys, yet peaceful and secluded, it truly embodies the idea of ‘hidden in plain sight.’ Whether you're seeking cultural immersion or simply a restful retreat, this place delivers everything. From the atmosphere to the thoughtful service, every detail felt authentic and exceptional. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Beijing.

What truly stood out was the exceptional service: every staff member greeted us warmly and professionally, always with a smile. Whether it was a simple request or something more specific, the team responded quickly and efficiently, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless. The parking facility is managed by a third party, but guests enjoy a daily credit of up to $100—great value for those driving in. Cleanliness was top-notch throughout the property; everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Overall, this was a relaxing, luxurious escape in the heart of Beijing. Rosewood Beijing

Celebrating New Year's Day at Rosewood Beijing was the perfect way to start the year. With chilly weather outside, staying put in this luxurious hotel felt like a dream. I’ve always admired Rosewood’s design aesthetic, and this stay didn’t disappoint—the executive suite might not be huge, but the view from the windows is absolutely unbeatable. Even the little touches, like my initials embroidered on the pillowcase, made the experience feel personal and special. The executive lounge exceeded expectations—both the food quality and service were outstanding, easily among the best I’ve experienced in China. And then there’s the pool: even in winter, it feels like stepping into a serene greenhouse garden. Calm, elegant, and breathtakingly beautiful—hands down, one of the most stunning pools in Beijing. A true gem.

Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong

We’ve made it a family tradition to ring in the New Year at this hotel every year, and it’s become one of our most cherished rituals. On New Year’s Eve, we enjoy a warm bowl of soba noodles at the second-floor Japanese restaurant — the atmosphere is cozy and festive. The next morning, we sip traditional tosukuri sake and savor a delightful Japanese breakfast before heading out on bikes to Jingshan Park to welcome the first rays of sunlight. This year, I was truly impressed by the improved service — the dining area has been upgraded with a fresh, modern touch, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s not just a hotel for us; it’s a place where we connect with culture and create lasting memories. We’re so grateful for the warmth and attention to detail. Here’s hoping they keep raising the bar — this place means something special to us, and we’ll definitely be back again.
