The afternoon tea here is definitely a highlight—my favorite part was the creamy, rich milk tea that tasted surprisingly delicious. The Western-style pastries, yogurt, and desserts were also well-executed and stood out. The room itself is on the smaller side but impeccably clean, with a charming Russian architectural style that really adds character to the stay. One quirky detail: the bathroom faucet is extremely tall—despite being 5'6" (around 168 cm), I still had to stretch just to reach the clothesline! That’s some authentic Russian design for you. Inside, the heating system works so well that you forget it’s freezing outside—perfect for winter visits. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just steps from Metro Line 2, making trips to the Ice and Snow World only 3 stops away, while Central Street and Red Star Market are within walking distance. There’s no shortage of local eats nearby—great barbecue spots and traditional “pig slaughter” dishes for hungry travelers. Bonus: the key card can be duplicated, which is super convenient for late-night returns. Service is a bit routine—understandable given the high foot traffic in this commercial area—but could use a little more warmth and personal touch. Still, if you’re visiting Harbin for the first time, this hotel is a solid choice. With such a great location and cozy interior, improving service quality would truly match the premium pricing.

We happened to be here during Christmas, and the decorations created such a magical atmosphere from the moment we walked in. Breakfast included turkey, and the kids were thrilled with their little snowman gifts. Our room was on the second floor with a small balcony—such a thoughtful touch! The kids could play in the snow outside, then quickly warm up inside when needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and even helped capture some amazing family photos that truly felt like a fairytale. It was such a special experience, especially for the children. I can’t wait to come back—it’s definitely one of the best stays I’ve had in Harbin.

They upgraded us to a better room at no extra cost! That kind of thoughtful service really made our stay special. We arrived by car, and there’s parking available right at the entrance. It’s a government-managed public lot: free from 8 PM to 8 AM, and just ¥6 per hour during the day. Reasonable pricing for such a prime spot. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, great service, and a fantastic central location—highly recommend for anyone visiting Harbin!

Absolutely thrilled with this stay! The location is unbeatable—just across the street and a 3-minute walk to Sophia Cathedral, perfect for sightseeing or evening strolls. The staff went above and beyond: when I mentioned the bathroom tissue supply was low, the housekeeper promptly brought over two extra packs with no hesitation. Even though I arrived late, the front desk team was incredibly patient, helped me check in smoothly, and even carried my luggage up—truly attentive service. The room was spotless, modern, and packed with smart features; controlling lights and climate was effortless. It’s easily the best hotel experience I’ve had in 2025 so far. One small suggestion: adding a slight ramp at the entrance would make life much easier for guests hauling heavy suitcases. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

The location is absolutely perfect—right next to the Chinese Baroque District, making it super convenient to explore on foot. I love how close it is to the metro station; just a short walk and you're in the heart of the historic area with plenty of charming streets, local eateries, and photo spots. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with great gaming setups for e-sports lovers—low latency and smooth performance. The only small downside for international travelers is that all outlets are standard Chinese plugs, so be sure to bring an adapter. Despite that, the overall experience was excellent. If I ever return to Harbin, this will definitely be my go-to choice.
Solid Stone Hostel
This was our first visit to Harbin on the way back from Mohe, and I can’t recommend this hostel enough! Located just a short walk from Central Street, it’s incredibly convenient—perfect for exploring the city without wasting time on transport. The price is very reasonable for the quality and amenities offered. Everything in the room was thoughtfully provided, and best of all—everything was free, including toiletries and essentials. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a bunch of adorable cats wandering around the lobby—such a sweet welcome! The staff, especially the front desk ladies and customer service team, were incredibly warm and welcoming. We accidentally left behind some blueberry jam and pulp we brought back from Mohe in the front desk fridge. Since we were rushing to catch our train, we couldn’t go back, but after reaching out, they kindly arranged to mail it to us—fast, efficient, and so thoughtful! The backyard is also beautifully decorated with snowmen and Christmas trees—perfect for photos and really adds to the cozy, festive vibe. Overall, this was hands down one of the most enjoyable stays I’ve had at a guesthouse. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made it feel like home. I’ll definitely be booking here again next time I visit Harbin!
