The night before we left, we tried Xiangzi’s House—a small family-run spot—and their fried meat was absolutely delicious. I even packed a takeaway box to enjoy later. The neighboring rib rice bowl was another highlight—simple, hearty, and full of flavor. Everything about this stay was top-notch: location, comfort, food, and service. 10/10 would come back again without hesitation!

The room was spacious, clean, and exactly as shown in the photos, which is always a relief. We explored all the sights during the day, then enjoyed the evening light show at the Olympic Sailing Center before strolling over to a local bar for a drink. Walking back took just about 10 minutes, so everything felt so convenient and well-connected. The location, cleanliness, and overall value make this hotel a top pick. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Qingdao.

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; they noticed my original room was small and faced the street, so they upgraded me to a double-bed room at no extra cost. That kind of personal touch made all the difference. While some facilities are a bit dated, the room was spotlessly clean—exactly what you want from a reliable budget-friendly hotel. What really stood out? The breakfast. Seriously, it was better than many meals I’ve had at four-star hotels. Only one minor downside: a couple in the adjacent room kept opening and closing their door over a dozen times during the night, which woke me up a few times. But honestly, that didn’t ruin the overall experience. I checked in on Friday, and the location was perfect—just a 3-4 minute walk to Nanjing Road Metro Station. For under $10 USD per night including breakfast, the value is unbeatable. Plus, the team even kindly reminded me to leave a review—would’ve done it sooner if I wasn’t rushing to catch my next train.
