Staying at Diorem Pension was a mixed experience. While the location is convenient—close to downtown Jeju and ideal for hiking up Halla Mountain—the property itself feels older than expected. The rooms have a musty smell, and the small rooms feature stone beds, which aren’t comfortable for younger guests. The main bathroom and jacuzzi are awkward to use, and the rooftop room is literally just an attic space with minimal amenities. There are two bathrooms, but both are quite compact—one even has a step right above the toilet, which caused a guest to bump their head. Overall, it’s not a particularly clean or stylish stay, despite its good location. If you’re looking for something basic and budget-friendly with easy access to attractions, it might work. But if comfort and modern facilities matter, you’ll likely be disappointed.

Located right along Rainbow Road, the area is popular with photographers and offers great views. There are also nearby bakeries, restaurants, and a CVS for convenience. Overall, this was a fantastic stay and an amazing value. I’d definitely come back if ever I’m in Jeju again.

The hotel sits right on the main road—just step out the front door, turn left, and you’re at School Village Fried Chicken and BBQ Chicken. A short walk down the street leads to Hwajung Road, where there’s a CU convenience store uphill and plenty of great dining options nearby. Across the street is Kim Bok Nam Fried Chicken, so food is never far away. Even late at night—around 11 or 12 PM—the area still feels safe and lively with people around. The only hiccup was being assigned to a room on the 4th floor upon check-in. It felt off right away—completely different from the photos online. The room didn’t have the desk and chair shown in the listing, and it just felt smaller than expected. I immediately went back to reception, and though they apologized, they explained no rooms were available that day. They promised to upgrade us first thing tomorrow. And sure enough, the next morning I was moved to a room on the 14th floor—exactly like the pictures: spacious, well-lit, with a proper desk and comfortable layout. The difference was night and day. The staff were very helpful, spoke fluent Chinese, and handled everything smoothly. Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value, especially with its prime location, reliable shuttle, and responsive customer service. Just a quick heads-up: if your room doesn’t match the photos, don’t hesitate to ask—your comfort matters, and the team will make it right.
