While the hotel is a bit outside the city center, it offers significantly better value compared to other options in downtown Seoul. The nearby subway station makes getting around easy—just hop on the train to explore major attractions. Alternatively, using a local ride-hailing app (available for download) lets you book a car in advance or request one instantly, which was especially helpful for our family of six. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance offering all kinds of authentic Korean food—just take a stroll and you’ll find something delicious. The front desk staff speak English and are genuinely warm and attentive. We booked two rooms: one king bedroom and one twin room with a queen-sized bed and a single bed, perfect for three people. The room had a lovely balcony, ample space, clean interiors, and water temperature that was just right. I particularly loved the shampoo and conditioner—they left my hair incredibly soft and smooth. I’d love to know the brand! Breakfast was modest in variety but tasty overall. All in all, this stay was highly satisfying, and I’d definitely return.

I visited Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul purely for a solo staycation, and it absolutely delivered. In the middle of bustling Seoul, this place feels like a hidden oasis—calm, serene, and completely removed from the city’s chaos. The moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted with that peaceful, natural vibe that made me instantly unwind. One of my favorite moments? Sitting by the bathroom window, staring at the endless traffic jam outside, while enjoying my own quiet time—such a simple but powerful form of therapy. The indoor pool is massive and incredibly relaxing, especially when you can see the Namsan Tower in the distance. It really helped release all the tension I’d been carrying. The room itself is elegant without being overbearing—clean, well-maintained, and spotless. The sofa and bed were both comfortable, and the mattress was so plush, I felt like I was being hugged the second I lay down. The bedding was soft and cozy, leading to one of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had in a long time. The bathroom? Impeccable—crisp, clean, and luxurious. Breakfast came around 9:30 AM, so there was a short wait, but I actually preferred it this way—no noisy buffet crowds, no distractions, just a peaceful start to the day. I ordered natto with abalone, followed by sea urchin egg custard and fresh fruit—simple yet delicious, perfect for a light morning meal. I didn’t get to enjoy the famous pool this time (a bit disappointing), but I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat within the heart of Seoul, Banyan Tree is truly the answer.

JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul

Staying at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—right next to Cheonggyecheon Stream, with a peaceful walkway just steps from the hotel entrance. I easily reached Doota and Design Plaza on foot, making it perfect for shopping and exploring local creativity. The breakfast buffet was exceptional—huge variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious options from both Korean and international cuisines. I especially loved the made-to-order omelets and warm artisan bread. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my stay, always going the extra mile. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable—the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel: top-notch amenities, smart TV, premium bedding, and excellent soundproofing. It’s clear this hotel cares about guest comfort and experience. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.

The Shilla Seoul is an exceptional choice for a stay in Seoul. While the room size is on the smaller side and the front desk staff seemed a bit reserved upon check-in without offering much guidance, the service truly shines during your stay. For instance, after buying snacks from the convenience store near the entrance around 9:30 PM, the shuttle driver kindly offered to deliver them straight to our room—something we hadn’t known about since it wasn’t mentioned at reception. That small gesture made a big difference. And don’t miss the hotel’s ground-floor bakery—it’s widely regarded as Seoul’s top French pastry shop. The pastries are rich, delicate, and absolutely worth a visit. Despite minor initial impressions, the attention to detail and thoughtful touches throughout the stay make this hotel stand out. Highly recommend for both comfort and convenience.

Staying at The Plaza Seoul, Autograph Collection was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—right next to the subway station with a direct underground walkway leading straight to Lotte Department Store in Myeongdong. I've been here twice now, and each time I leave feeling like I made the perfect choice. The pool and fitness center are standout features—spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with top-tier machines. I made it back to the gym twice during my visit, and I’ll definitely be returning just for that. Special thanks to the front desk staff—both times they managed to get me checked in early, which made my arrival so much smoother. It’s clear this hotel truly values guest experience. I forgot my charger, and when I mentioned it to the front desk, they delivered a replacement within minutes. That kind of quick, thoughtful service is rare and truly appreciated. The room itself is generously sized, with excellent water pressure and instant hot water—perfect for a relaxing shower. The bathtub even came with bath salts, which made soaking in the evening so enjoyable. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: right next to the subway station, with airport buses stopping just outside, and a five-minute walk to Myeongdong. At night, the streets are alive with street food stalls and vibrant energy. This hotel offers top-tier comfort and convenience at a great value. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I did notice that toothbrushes require a small donation at the front desk, which is a bit unusual but still reasonable as part of their eco-friendly initiative. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay—always smiling, helpful, and professional. Location-wise, it’s perfect: just a 5-7 minute walk to the subway station, and walking out from exit 1 or 2 means you’re immediately in front of a convenience store—great for snacks or last-minute needs. Whether you're heading to Myeongdong, Gangnam, or Hanam-dong, everything is within easy reach. This hotel offers comfort, convenience, and excellent service—all in one. I’d definitely recommend it and will be returning.

Right outside the door, you’ll find an amazing variety of restaurants and local eateries, all within walking distance. Inside, the hotel is spotless, well-maintained, and offers a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean, spacious, and very quiet, with a cozy bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout our stay. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this place delivers excellent value and comfort. It’s definitely a go-to recommendation for anyone visiting Seoul—I’ll be back!
