I traveled with my dog, and due to a shipping company mix-up, he arrived in Xi’an earlier than expected. I reached out to the hotel for help, and Sha Sha immediately stepped in to pick him up. When I arrived late at night, my pup was calm, happy, and showed no signs of stress. Even better, she had already cleaned his travel carrier, provided plenty of food and fresh warm water, and made sure everything was ready for his comfort. The housekeeping staff were equally attentive—when I returned from taking my dog out for a walk midday, the room was spotless and freshly tidied. Everything felt thoughtfully cared for, down to the smallest detail. This place truly values pets and their owners, offering not just accommodation but a real sense of home. I booked this place purely based on one photo, and I’m so glad I did—it completely lived up to the hype. Usually, pet-friendly hotels come with minor cleanliness concerns, especially for someone like me who’s prone to allergies, but I stayed for three nights with zero reactions—definitely a relief. While the front desk isn’t available 24/7, the rotating access codes and the incredibly thoughtful, personalized service from the staff more than made up for it. In a bustling city center, that level of care and attention really eases any worries about safety or service quality. The street below is a food lover’s paradise—plenty of options, all clean and delicious. I ended up chatting with the lovely hostess nonstop about animals and local eats; she’s such a great conversationalist, I kept finding reasons to stop by just to talk. The cats are absolutely adorable—little ear is shy, Six Six is super affectionate, but my favorite has to be Little Manager with her irresistibly cute face. If I ever return to Xi’an, you better believe I’ll head straight back here. No other hotel will even be in the running.

Xin'ao Hotel (Xi'an Bell and Drum Tower Yuxiangmen Subway Station)

Staying at Xin'ao Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Yuxiangmen Metro Station, making it super convenient for exploring Xi'an. The lobby is spacious and beautifully designed, giving a welcoming and elegant first impression. The room was spotlessly clean, with comfortable bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. What really stood out was the staff—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. I especially appreciated the variety of floral teas available at the front desk; it was a nice touch. They even offered a complimentary breakfast with a wide selection—porridge, noodles, dim sum, and more—perfectly satisfying. Right next door is a vibrant food court, so dining options are endless without leaving the vicinity. This hotel offers incredible value for money and exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be back.

Shung's B&B

Stumbled upon this hidden gem in the heart of Xi'an, and it’s definitely worth a mention. The design aesthetic is unmistakably boutique — clearly crafted with a strong vision from the start. While the interior has seen some years, that only adds character and warmth to the space. Climbing the stairs to your room is part of the charm, especially if you're young and active. The bedding was incredibly comfortable — I slept like a baby. The host’s service stood out: prompt, friendly, and genuinely attentive. For the price, the value is outstanding. I wish I had more time to relax in the ground-floor movie corner with the projector — it would’ve been perfect for a quiet night in. Noise levels are generally excellent; no sound from neighboring rooms. There’s a slight echo in the hallway due to the staircase layout when people walk up or down, but it’s not disruptive at all. As someone sensitive to noise, I found it completely manageable. Plus, there are plenty of shared bikes right outside, making it super easy to explore local food spots on two wheels. If you’re visiting during low season, just give them a quick call ahead to confirm check-in time — it helps the host plan their day and ensures a smooth arrival.

Staying at Hometown Chang'an B&B was one of the highlights of my trip to Xi'an. The host was incredibly thoughtful; knowing I had an early departure, they kindly extended my check-out time without any hassle, which made my morning so much more relaxed. Any small issue I had was addressed quickly and with genuine care. This place offered incredible value for money. Traveling solo, I was a bit nervous at first, but this stay helped me feel more confident and happy throughout my journey. I walked over 20,000 steps in just three days—exploring all the sights and tasting everything I wanted. Everything was perfectly covered. I truly can’t recommend this little gem enough. Staying at Gentlemen International Hotel was a great experience overall. The room was spacious and well-designed, offering plenty of comfort and a nice sense of openness. Its location near Sajin Bridge Metro Station made getting around the city incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the station. I especially loved the outdoor breakfast setup; it had a relaxed vibe with fresh, delicious food—my highlight was the hot congee and freshly baked bread, which tasted fantastic. That said, I did have two small suggestions: the ¥100 deposit for the umbrella seems a bit high for such a small item, and it might be worth reconsidering. Also, no one at the front desk asked if I was driving, which is something I’d expect from a higher-end hotel—proactively offering parking information or assistance would make the stay even more seamless. These are minor points, but with a perfect 10/10 rating, this hotel is already very close to excellence. Just a few thoughtful touches could make it truly outstanding.
