If you're heading to Shanghai Stadium or Sports Arena for a concert, it's only one stop on the metro—or even easier, a short walk or bike ride away. This A.T.HOUSE property has that modern art vibe I love. The second-floor afternoon tea lounge and late-night dining spot are both stylish and inviting. The pastries are delicious, and the chicken soup wontons as well as the pork-filled dumplings are seriously satisfying. I was originally booked into a room type that wasn’t available yet, but the team kindly upgraded me to a Premium Suite—huge upgrade in space, view, and design. Everything felt thoughtfully curated. I ordered fresh fruit platters after my concert, and they arrived at my door in no time. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the service throughout was top-notch. Even at check-out, they handed me a lovely souvenir—a large record-shaped biscuit box that’s both cute and tasty. If there’s another concert in town, this will be my go-to hotel again.

Staying at Mandarin Oriental Pudong Shanghai was absolutely perfect — truly flawless! We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with a delicious cake and a beautifully presented fruit platter. The attention to detail made the moment even more special. We booked the Riverview Executive Suite, and it lived up to every expectation — spacious, elegant, and offering breathtaking views of the Huangpu River, especially at night. Every staff member we met was incredibly attentive, polite, and genuinely warm, making us feel like VIP guests throughout our stay. From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless and thoughtful. We’ve already planned our next trip to Shanghai just to enjoy the autumn foliage — the ginkgo and red leaves are calling!
