The food quality stood out, with a nice variety of flavors that satisfied both local and international tastes. Location-wise, it's unbeatable—right next to SM City Plaza, making shopping, dining, and exploring super convenient. Everything is within walking distance, and public transit access is great too. Overall, this place feels like home away from home. The only tiny suggestion: removing the carpet in the rooms might improve cleanliness and airflow, but honestly, it’s such a minor detail compared to everything else. This is a true gem for self-drive travelers! The location is unbeatable—just a short drive from Nanputuo Temple, Xiamen University, Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, Gulangyu Ferry Terminal, and the city’s botanical garden. Everything is within easy reach, making it perfect for exploring at your own pace. The hotel offers an elevator, a delicious and varied free breakfast, and ample free parking—no stress about finding a spot. But what really stands out is the staff, especially the security guard who feels like a friendly neighbor. He’s always smiling, helpful, and goes out of his way to assist. I genuinely hope the management keeps him—his warmth and professionalism make the stay unforgettable.

They handled luggage storage seamlessly, which allowed my elderly family members to enjoy a relaxed day trip to Gulangyu Island without carrying bags. The room itself was spotless—no dust, no fallen leaves, and almost no mosquitoes, which made for a peaceful night’s sleep. The building has a charming old-style colonial architecture vibe, with a clean, quiet lounge area ideal for relaxing or taking photos. No smoking indoors, minimal foot traffic, and zero noise pollution—it felt like a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city. Mountain Residence Guesthouse

Staying at Mountain Residence Guesthouse was a highlight of my trip to Xiamen. The facilities are modern and well-maintained—everything feels clean and cared for.
