7Days Inn chain hotel (Shanghai Lujiazui Area Shimao Binjiang Garden)

The stay was decent overall, especially considering the price and location. The room is small, but my phone captured the entire space easily—perfect for a quick overnight visit. Being just a short subway ride from Lujiazui makes it incredibly convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. However, the front desk staff seemed a bit unfocused during check-in; they mentioned breakfast vouchers, but when I went to claim them the next morning, I was told there were none. That was definitely awkward. It would be great if the hotel could improve communication and consistency in their services. Despite that hiccup, the value for money is excellent, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers or those needing a simple, no-frills base in Shanghai.

7Days Hotel(Shanghai Lujiazui Yuanshen Road Subway Station)

I stayed at 7Days Hotel (Shanghai Lujiazui Yuanshen Road Subway Station) and was truly impressed—everything about this place exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived, making check-in smooth and welcoming. The location is perfect: right next to the subway station, so getting around central Shanghai, including Lujiazui and Nanjing Road, is super convenient. My room was spotless, well-maintained, and had a comfortable bed with clean linens. The bathroom was modern and fully equipped, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like quality toiletries. What really stood out was the convenience of the surrounding area—plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets within walking distance. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this hotel offers excellent value and comfort. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.

JOYA Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui

I chose Joya Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui for my New Year’s celebration this year, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise—my first stay here, and I’m already planning to come back. Traveling with my 15-month-old baby, I was so impressed by how thoughtful the staff were: they set up the baby safety barrier in advance upon our request, and it was already in place when we arrived—truly appreciated. The island counter design is absolutely perfect for parents—it made feeding, preparing bottles, and cutting fruit so much easier. Plus, you can keep an eye on your little one while brushing your teeth or getting ready, which brings great peace of mind. The river view room was the highlight—overlooking the Huangpu River, my baby would sit by the window every morning sipping milk, mesmerized by the scenery. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, though the toilet seat is slightly higher than average—probably due to a heated cover installed later, but not a big issue. Staff were friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was outstanding—huge variety, no repeats over three days! The beef noodle soup stood out: rich broth, tender meat, and generous portions—highly recommend. If you’re traveling with kids, this hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and quality. Definitely coming back for another family stay.

InterContinental Shanghai Pudong

This hotel has been everywhere on Little Red Book lately, and after staying here, I totally get why. Walking into the lobby felt like stepping into a vintage Shanghai film—deep burgundy sofas paired with Bauhaus-inspired furniture create such a unique, nostalgic atmosphere. The whole place radiates that 90s 'old money' elegance, beautifully done without feeling over-the-top. The suite was enormous, offering plenty of space and a luxurious feel. The executive lounge is top-notch too—great service, delicious snacks, and a quiet, classy vibe. Every detail feels intentional and well-executed. Honestly, this is one of those rare stays you just want to repeat. If I'm back in Shanghai, this will be my go-to choice. Definitely a must-visit.
