Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi

Staying at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi for the second time, and I’m still completely in love with this place. It’s now my top choice in Tokyo — the service is thoughtful and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. This time, I upgraded to a Deluxe Suite on the highest floor, directly facing the Imperial Palace. The view is absolutely breathtaking: panoramic cityscapes during the day, and magical nighttime views from the bathtub right by the window. The bathroom is spacious and fully separate, with premium fittings and an incredible layout that makes every moment feel luxurious. Room service is available 24/7 — breakfast delivered to your room costs the same as dining in-house, but I’d still choose delivery for the convenience and the generous fruit platter. The hotel’s VITRU bar on the lobby level is ranked among Asia’s Top 50 — designed with inspiration from a renowned Parisian bar, it has a sophisticated French aesthetic, excellent cocktails, and surprisingly reasonable prices. Guests can walk in easily, no hassle. Location-wise, while it’s not right next to the subway station (it’s on top of Otemachi Station, owned by Mitsui), getting to Tokyo Station is just a quick ride, and Silver Street is within 10 minutes by taxi. Plus, Otemachi itself is incredibly well-connected — way more convenient than areas like Azabu. Even though the hotel has been open a few years, everything still feels brand new, clean, and impeccably maintained. No signs of wear, just top-tier quality throughout. If you want a quiet, elevated urban retreat in central Tokyo with unbeatable views and exceptional service, this is it.

Real Life KUDANSHITA

This place was the perfect home base for exploring Tokyo. Just a few blocks from the castle, and if you love walking, you can easily reach many major attractions on foot. Within a three-block radius, there are plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, and grocery shops—everything you need is right at your doorstep. The apartment itself is beautifully designed, with stylish appliances that make daily life so much more enjoyable. The host was super helpful, showing us how everything worked, which made our stay even smoother. One small note: the sofa bed’s springs aren’t the best—if more than one person uses it, you’ll definitely feel every movement. We ended up placing the mattress directly on the floor, turning it into a cozy futon-style setup, and it worked out perfectly. Overall, this spot is fantastic—great location, thoughtful design, and a warm, welcoming vibe. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

When checking out, you simply leave the key in the room once your departure time arrives—no need to return to reception. It’s simple, efficient, and very low stress. Despite being automated, everything worked smoothly and felt secure. I appreciated the privacy and independence this setup offered. Park Hyatt Tokyo

Staying at Park Hyatt Tokyo felt like being wrapped in pure luxury from the moment I stepped in. The service is truly next-level—thoughtful, discreet, and flawless. I spent hours in my room sipping tea or wine while gazing at the view of Mount Fuji or the glittering skyline of Tokyo at night. It’s breathtaking—truly unbeatable. The room was impeccably cleaned twice daily, yet I never saw the housekeeping staff, which speaks volumes about how seamless their work is. The library is a hidden gem—calm, elegant, and perfect for unwinding. Staff were incredibly helpful, especially one team member named Xiaoqi Sun who went above and beyond to help me recover a lost piece of jewelry. So grateful! Several restaurant staff spoke fluent Chinese, making communication smooth and stress-free. The club lounge staff were warm and attentive too. My only note: there’s a persistent gasoline smell near the second-floor entrance, where staff often stand guard. It’s not just unpleasant—it’s concerning for their well-being. I sincerely hope this gets addressed during the upcoming renovation. Otherwise, this hotel is absolutely perfect.

It’s just a 10-minute walk to Shinjuku’s heart, making exploring the city effortless. The room was much larger than average for a Japanese hotel, clean, well-maintained, and stocked with high-quality toiletries—so refreshing. Breakfast was a highlight: a wide variety of options, from traditional Japanese dishes to Western favorites, all fresh and delicious. One of the best parts? The view from the south wing faces Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. During the day, you can spot Mount Fuji on clear days; at night, the building’s stunning light show lights up the skyline. Just a short stroll away is the 52nd-floor observation deck—completely free and offering breathtaking panoramic views of Tokyo’s glittering cityscape. This place truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and unforgettable moments. Perfect for families or anyone looking for a premium yet relaxed stay in Tokyo.

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro

I stayed for seven nights and couldn't be happier with my experience. I didn't take many photos during the stay—most were snapped at checkout, so they’re a bit messy—but that doesn’t change how amazing the hotel truly is. The room was perfect for one person: clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and attentive service. Right across from the hotel is Lumine, making shopping and dining super convenient. With both JR and subway lines nearby, getting around Tokyo is a breeze. I took a direct train to the Harry Potter World in just 30 minutes—no transfers needed! Plus, the airport bus stops right outside the front door, which made my departure stress-free. Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo

Staying at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo felt like stepping into a living postcard. The moment you walk in, the serene garden sets the tone—especially with the 100th anniversary of the iconic three-storied pagoda being celebrated this year. Daily 'Tokyo Sea of Clouds' views unfold across the second and third-floor corridors, but you can also enjoy it from your room or right in the garden itself—pure magic. The hotel is filled with art: permanent installations and rotating exhibitions by local artists, giving it a cultural soul. Staff are incredibly welcoming and fluent in English—not just polite, but genuinely attentive, offering help without sounding rehearsed. Breakfast offers both Western and Japanese options, both delicious in their own way; though if you're looking to fill up, go for the Japanese meal. One hidden gem? A small restaurant from Nara serving amazing unagi rice, located right in the garden. Perfect spot for lunch—beautiful view, great value, and surprisingly affordable. After trying it, I totally get why breakfast portions are modest! Yes, the hotel has seen decades, but the upkeep is impeccable—spotless rooms, top-tier linens, towels, and bathrobes that feel luxurious. Spa was fully booked (no surprise), so definitely reserve ahead if you want to try it. Public transport isn't super convenient, but honestly, why would you leave? With such a peaceful atmosphere, stunning gardens, and quiet charm, staying put and soaking in the experience is the real highlight.
