The breakfast blew me away: warm congee, freshly ground soy milk and coffee, a great selection of fresh fruits, savory stir-fries, steamed dishes, and homemade desserts—all delicious and well-presented. The oversized, cozy sofa was the cherry on top; I just wanted to stay put all day. Great location, friendly staff, and incredible value for money. This is definitely a place I’ll return to next time I’m in Chengdu.

Staying at Millennium Hotel Chengdu (South Station Branch) was a great experience overall. The room I booked was a scenic view room with plenty of space, and the view across the street to Xianshentree Park was absolutely stunning—perfect for morning light or evening city views. However, the windows were completely non-operable, which made ventilation an issue. I understand safety concerns due to the high floor level, but allowing a small opening would be much more practical than having no airflow at all. The staff were excellent—especially the concierge who helped me collect my package, saving me a lot of time. For food delivery, unfortunately, you have to go downstairs yourself to pick it up; a robot delivery service would be a nice upgrade. The laundry room only has one dryer, which became a major bottleneck during peak holiday periods—adding another unit would make a big difference. On the hygiene side, there’s room for improvement: no trash bags in any of the bins, making them uncomfortable to use, and there were stubborn stains on the bathroom floor that weren’t visible until I moved the carpet accidentally. Despite these minor issues, the hotel met my expectations. Great location, good value, and I’d definitely choose this place again when visiting Chengdu.

Staying at Kempinski Hotel Chengdu was an absolute delight from start to finish. The suite offered a smart layout with clear separation between wet and dry areas, making it both functional and spacious. Everything was immaculately clean—no detail was overlooked. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, especially those at the Executive Lounge who made us feel truly welcomed. Their hospitality stood out throughout our stay. The location is fantastic—just steps away from the metro, which made exploring the city so convenient. Breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of options, but my favorite was the freshly squeezed carrot juice—it had a subtle hint of ginger that added a refreshing twist. During New Year’s celebration, the special dinner offerings were outstanding: the grilled fish and German-style crispy pork shoulder were both delicious and well-prepared. The pool area was spotless, and the hot spring pool maintained a perfect temperature—ideal for relaxing after a long day. Even the handmade wontons were fresh and flavorful. Overall, every aspect of dining, service, and comfort exceeded expectations. This hotel truly delivers a premium experience.

It’s been a while since my last business trip to Chengdu, and this two-day stay turned out to be a delightful surprise. I was originally planning to book at the Waldorf, but then discovered this Marriott – trusting the brand and following a friend’s recommendation, I decided to give it a try. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier. The room itself was outstanding – the bedding was perfect: the mattress had just the right firmness, and the down comforter was light yet cozy, ensuring a truly restful night’s sleep. Everything was spotless – immaculate cleanliness from top to bottom. Upon returning, I even found a lovely turn-down service waiting for me, which added such a warm, personal touch. The welcome fruit platter was a nice surprise too, especially the hotel’s own Aoyuan jelly tangerines – juicy, sweet, and fresh. From the moment I booked, Emily, the guest relations manager, reached out with a friendly phone call, making sure everything was taken care of. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable – just across the street from In99, where dining, shopping, and entertainment are all within easy reach. Yet, despite being in the heart of the action, the hotel somehow manages to feel calm and serene – more peaceful than the Waldorf right next door. This stay was truly flawless. If you’re ever in Chengdu for work or play, this is definitely a top pick.

Minyoun Chengdu Kehua Hotel

Staying at Minyoun Chengdu Kehua Hotel was an absolute delight. Located right by the river, the hotel offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The room was on a higher floor, which not only provided great views but also kept noise to a minimum. Everything was well-maintained: clean, spacious, with a bathtub and all essential amenities neatly arranged. I was impressed by the robot delivery for takeout orders—such a cool touch! Staff were attentive and friendly, especially Diana and Xiao Zhang, who personally brought fresh fruit and even offered welcome tea upon arrival. There was also complimentary mineral water available at the elevator area—a small but thoughtful detail. Every aspect of the stay felt premium and well thought out. This is one of those hotels where you can truly feel cared for. Highly recommend it—10/10, would definitely return.
