Nikolai Residence is a true hidden gem for exploring Berlin. Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, it offers a peaceful retreat yet is just a 5-minute walk to the vibrant Alexanderplatz or across the river to Museum Island. Public transport links are excellent—U-Bahn and Alexanderplatz station are right on your doorstep, making it easy to get around the city. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the hotel itself is spotless and well-maintained. While breakfast isn’t included, the team kindly recommended Alex’s, a local favorite just a short stroll away—perfect for our needs. We stayed at the Meininger Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz for a full week, and it was an excellent experience overall.
