The bedding felt luxurious, matching what you’d expect from a five-star hotel, and the bath products had a subtle, pleasant scent that left hair feeling smooth and fresh. What truly sets this place apart is its history—it’s actually a restored manor house from over 200 years ago, with original beams, carved woodwork, and an authentic classical ambiance that makes every moment feel special. We ended up canceling our original booking and extended our stay by three more nights. Plus, when we traveled to Dujiangyan or Jiuzhaigou, they happily stored our luggage. On our return, there was a mix-up with the room assignment, but the team handled it instantly—offering a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a private hot tub. The rooftop beams and old-world architecture were absolutely stunning. Even better, staff went the extra mile by calling my previous hotel to arrange a panda plushie for me. It’s also just a 10-minute taxi ride to popular spots like Chunxi Road and Kuanzhai Alley, perfect for exploring the city while still enjoying a peaceful retreat. The hotel offers free parking and EV charging stations—great for electric vehicle travelers. I loved that the lobby had authentic Sichuan snacks and seasonal hampers, and across the street is Wenshu Fang, a lively food alley with evening street stalls starting at 4 PM. The rooms were spotless, and the staff went above and beyond with warm greetings and helpful service. Everything felt clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm—all in one. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.
