Blossom House·HouHai Beijing

Staying at Blossom House·Hou Hai Beijing in Yangfang Hutong was such a delightful experience. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Houhai Lake and the Drum Tower, making it perfect for exploring Beijing’s historic heart. The hotel’s interior design stands out with its creative use of irregular shapes, which might not be everyone’s taste, but I appreciated the unique character. What truly impressed me was the comfort of the bed—excellent mattress and high-quality linens made for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast offered both set menus and à la carte options, so there was something for everyone, and nothing went to waste. The staff—Liu Linlin, Xiao Xi, and Xiao Zheng—were incredibly warm and attentive. They helped with luggage, offered free yogurt and fresh fruit, and always had a smile. It felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into a home. This place has a special charm, and I’ll definitely return.

Manxin Hotel in Shichahai Park, Nanluoguxiang, Beijing.

As a local Beijing resident, I took my kids on a weekend exploration of the traditional hutongs and wanted to experience authentic old Beijing culture. This hotel stood out for its great location, charm, and excellent value. From the moment we walked in, the warm welcome and complimentary tea at the front desk set a cozy tone. The room was incredibly comfortable with soft bedding and smart devices that made everything seamless. Free parking was a huge plus for us as we traveled by car. Staff were attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Breakfast was hearty, well-balanced, and satisfying—perfect for starting the day right. Located just 200 meters from Nanluoguxiang, it’s literally steps away from the heart of the historic district. You can’t help but feel immersed in the old Beijing vibe while strolling through the narrow alleys. I’m already planning to bring my parents here next time—I’d definitely stay again.

Bejing Heyuanzhixin courtyard(Wang Fujing,Tian'anmen)

Staying at this historic courtyard hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Beijing. Housed in a Ming Dynasty-era residence once lived in by the legendary Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang, the property exudes authentic charm from every corner—wooden beams, traditional courtyards, and elegant furnishings make you feel like you've stepped into a living piece of history. The nearest subway station is about a 10-15 minute walk away, but the hostess was incredibly thoughtful—she sent me the exact pickup location for a taxi in advance, which made the arrival stress-free. The surrounding alleyways are full of local shops and restaurants, perfect for exploring on foot. Breakfast was a delightful Chinese spread with generous portions—warm congee, steamed buns, and fresh side dishes that warmed me up on a chilly morning. The heating in the room was excellent, keeping everything cozy even during cold winter nights. It's rare to find such a unique, well-preserved space with such attention to detail and hospitality. If you're looking for an immersive cultural experience in Beijing, this is a must-visit.

Dasein Youlan Hotel

Staying at Dasein Youlan Hotel during winter in Beijing was an absolute delight. The snow-dusted courtyard looked like a scene from a dream—serene, picturesque, and utterly magical. As soon as I stepped into the room, the warmth hit me, and sinking into the private hot tub after a chilly day was pure bliss. The hotel’s design is a perfect blend of modern minimalism and traditional Chinese aesthetics—every corner feels intentional, artistic, and thoughtfully curated. Staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, making me feel truly welcome. What stood out most was the pet-friendly environment. I spent quiet moments relaxing beside friendly cats and dogs lounging around the lobby and garden—such a sweet, unexpected touch. It added a layer of comfort and charm that made the stay feel more personal. This place isn’t just a hotel; it’s a peaceful retreat in the heart of Beijing. Highly recommend for anyone seeking beauty, tranquility, and a little soulful escape.

Beijing Lezai Nanluo Boutique Hotel

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! Located right in the heart of Nanluoguxiang, it’s surprisingly peaceful despite being surrounded by all the hustle and bustle. I stayed in the courtyard king room, and the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the unique design. Lying in bed, I could see the open sky through the adjustable skylight — so serene and inspiring. The rooftop terrace is a real highlight, offering fantastic views and complete privacy. Even in winter, the room stayed cozy thanks to the underfloor heating — no chilly floors at all. The staff were incredibly thoughtful too; they helped carry our luggage upstairs without hesitation. And if you’re ever hungry, the ground-floor dining area serves up warm, comforting meals anytime — I had a steaming bowl of noodles that hit the spot. From the ambiance to the service, everything felt personal and authentic. A truly memorable stay, and I’ll definitely be back.

The PuXuan Hotel and Spa

Staying at The PuXuan Hotel and Spa in Beijing was a delightful experience overall. The room size was just right—not too cramped, not overly spacious—and being just steps from the metro made getting around the city incredibly convenient. The twin beds were slightly smaller than expected, but the mattress was so comfortable that I slept like a baby. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the eggs—perfectly cooked with a crispy exterior and soft center. However, the wonton soup could use more depth in flavor. Adding some rice noodles or vermicelli dishes, maybe even a spicy beef noodle option, would be a great addition to the menu. Despite minor room for improvement, the hospitality, location, and value for money made this stay truly memorable. I’d definitely come back here on my next trip to Beijing!

Hotel New Otani Chang Fu Gong

We’ve made it a family tradition to ring in the New Year at this hotel every year, and it’s become one of our most cherished rituals. On New Year’s Eve, we enjoy a warm bowl of soba noodles at the second-floor Japanese restaurant — the atmosphere is cozy and festive. The next morning, we sip traditional tosukuri sake and savor a delightful Japanese breakfast before heading out on bikes to Jingshan Park to welcome the first rays of sunlight. This year, I was truly impressed by the improved service — the dining area has been upgraded with a fresh, modern touch, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s not just a hotel for us; it’s a place where we connect with culture and create lasting memories. We’re so grateful for the warmth and attention to detail. Here’s hoping they keep raising the bar — this place means something special to us, and we’ll definitely be back again.

My friend had been raving about The Peninsula Beijing for years, and this was our first visit—what a memorable experience! Our son said it was the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at, without a doubt. We were pleasantly surprised by the upgrade to a spacious junior suite, which offered both comfort and elegance.
