Oriental Jianguo Hotel, Hankou Railway Station, Wuhan

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’ve decided to book another night on my return trip—proof enough of how much I enjoyed it! The location is unbeatable: just a 7-10 minute walk from Hankou Railway Station. Once you exit the station, head left and you’ll spot the hotel straight ahead—it’s very easy to find. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in a breeze. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bathroom had no unpleasant odors, and the bedding was fresh and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight—great variety with plenty of options to choose from. The only minor downside is that the twin room lacks natural light and feels a bit dim during the day, but honestly, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. For the price and convenience, this place offers excellent value. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Wuhan.

Three rooms were thoughtfully arranged on the same floor by staff member Shan Shan, making it easy for our group to look after each other. Elva, who greeted us, was incredibly warm and considerate—when I ran into her in the lobby one evening, she even offered a refreshing honey water to help with a hangover! She also recommended the afternoon tea service featuring homemade pastries, fresh fruit platters, and beverages—such a delightful touch. The location is unbeatable: just a short walk from Yellow Crane Tower and Yangtze River Bridge, perfect for sightseeing without wasting time on transit. My only small suggestion would be adding EV charging stations. Overall, this is a top-tier stay with excellent value. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Wuhan!

Our stay was extended from 5 to 6 nights, and Manager Du went above and beyond with her friendly, attentive approach. The hotel is quiet and impeccably clean, with housekeeping team doing a thorough job every day, leaving no corner untouched. Special thanks to Zhu Qian—the attention to detail was outstanding. She consistently added soap dispensers, refilled water bottles, neatly folded our clothes, and made sure everything was just right. Coming back after a long day felt like returning home. The concierge team went above and beyond, opening doors, helping with luggage, and even offering robot-assisted room service. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful—they not only secured a quiet room for us but also upgraded our stay without hesitation.
