The front desk staff, Liu Jingwen, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. I arrived late at midnight after work, and despite not being in the hotel during the day, she still upgraded me to a room with a window—a small but thoughtful gesture that made my stay feel extra special. This hotel has been everywhere on Little Red Book lately, and after staying here, I totally get why. Walking into the lobby felt like stepping into a vintage Shanghai film—deep burgundy sofas paired with Bauhaus-inspired furniture create such a unique, nostalgic atmosphere. The whole place radiates that 90s 'old money' elegance, beautifully done without feeling over-the-top. The suite was enormous, offering plenty of space and a luxurious feel. The executive lounge is top-notch too—great service, delicious snacks, and a quiet, classy vibe. Every detail feels intentional and well-executed. Honestly, this is one of those rare stays you just want to repeat. If I'm back in Shanghai, this will be my go-to choice. Definitely a must-visit.

I also want to commend Mr. Luan Haiqin for his prompt response and excellent service—always available whenever I needed something. The front desk staff were consistently cheerful and efficient, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout my visit. Located just minutes from the metro, getting around Shanghai was a breeze. With its unbeatable combination of comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service, this hotel is a true gem. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next trip to Shanghai and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Regent Shanghai Pudong

Staying at Regent Shanghai Pudong was an absolute delight from start to finish. The front desk staff, Rachel, was incredibly courteous and welcoming—she even accommodated our early arrival three hours ahead of check-in, allowing us to settle in by 3 PM with no hassle. To our surprise, we were upgraded from a standard Eastern Pearl view king room to a spacious suite, which was such a nice bonus. The room itself was immaculate: plush bedding, luxurious bathroom amenities, and everything felt clean, high-end, and thoughtfully designed. We also received a welcome fruit platter—such a sweet touch! Location-wise, it’s perfectly positioned: quiet and away from the tourist crowds right outside the door, yet just a short walk or quick ride to the Bund. It’s rare to find a hotel that offers both tranquility and convenience. This stay exceeded all expectations. I’ll definitely be returning to this hotel whenever I’m in Pudong—and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refined, comfortable experience.

Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel

This trip to Shanghai was made even better by choosing Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel—truly exceeded all expectations, and I’m giving it a full 10/10! She handled check-in quickly and efficiently, while also patiently answering our questions about local transport and nearby attractions. She even took the time to recommend hotel amenities and some top-rated restaurants nearby, always with a warm smile. That welcoming vibe made us feel instantly at home. The breakfast in the on-site Renaissance Café was an absolute highlight. With an impressive mix of Western and Asian options, we enjoyed everything from classic Benedict eggs and fresh croissants to local favorites like Jianbing, beef dumplings, and little wontons. There were even Indian-inspired dishes, plus a wide variety of fruits, desserts, and beverages—all freshly restocked and delicious. It truly catered to every taste. Our room was spacious, bright, and elegantly decorated, with excellent soundproofing and stunning views from the window. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they offered multiple pillow types to suit different preferences—perfect for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed with a separate shower area, premium toiletries, and well-maintained facilities. Location-wise, it's ideally situated near a metro station, just a short walk to Dingxiang International Mall and Century Park—great for shopping or relaxing. From front desk hospitality to dining quality and room comfort, every detail was spot-on. This is definitely my go-to choice for future visits to Shanghai.
