First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.

This was my third stay at the Sheraton Universal Hotel, and it didn’t disappoint—everything is still top-notch. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and a gentleman named Mr. Li who speaks Chinese helped me out with great care and professionalism. The location couldn’t be better—just a 15-minute walk to Universal Studios, or you can hop on the complimentary shuttle right outside the hotel entrance for a direct ride to the park gate. Saves so much time and energy! The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Free coffee and tea were available, plus two bottles of water daily—very thoughtful. While the toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers) weren’t left in the room, they’re high quality and delivered promptly when requested via phone. The ground-floor buffet breakfast was excellent—lots of fresh options including oatmeal, eggs, bread, bacon, beef patties, milk, and coffee. It’s all delicious and well-prepared, especially for $34 per person. We stayed for three days during a family trip, and the kids had a blast. The only minor issue? On the first day, we never put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign, but housekeeping never came by. The trash bin was overflowing, and I had to go down to front desk to request someone to take it out. That said, this was an isolated case. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and convenience are outstanding. I’ll definitely book here again next time I visit Universal Studios.

Though the building itself is compact, it packs an impressive punch with its stylish restaurant, rooftop bar, and serene tea lounge—each space thoughtfully designed and utterly Instagram-worthy. Every room was impeccably furnished with a chic, contemporary aesthetic, making every corner a perfect photo spot. The staff were attentive and welcoming, adding to the warm hospitality. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was exceptional—both the food and ambiance stood out. The rooftop bar, while cozy and intimate, has a relaxed, sophisticated vibe that’s ideal for couples looking for a quiet evening. This stay exceeded all expectations, and I genuinely feel lucky to have chosen this hotel. If I ever return to Los Angeles, I’d absolutely book here again.

The location is unbeatable: right next to a shopping mall with direct access to the subway station, so getting around town is seamless. There are tons of restaurants nearby, from casual eats to more upscale options, and I felt completely safe walking around even in the evening. The combination of excellent service, unbeatable convenience, and great value makes this hotel stand out. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting LA.

I especially loved the breakfast—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared with local touches. The location is ideal too—just a short walk from trendy cafes and shops in Silver Lake, and super easy to get around via public transit. It’s rare to find such a peaceful retreat with so much character and comfort. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, relaxing stay in Los Angeles.
