Right next to Dong Lake, the view from the window is a stunning 180-degree panorama—morning ripples and golden sunsets make every moment feel like a postcard. I was pleasantly upgraded to a lake-view suite upon arrival, with spacious layout and elegant design featuring subtle Suzhou embroidery details. The Le Méridien bed was incredibly comfortable—sleeping through the night without a single wake-up call. Malin + Goetz amenities were luxurious and added that extra touch of indulgence. Breakfast offered authentic local Shanghainese flavors, while afternoon tea at the executive lounge was perfect for unwinding with a view of the lake. The HH hour was especially magical—sipping tea as the sun dipped behind the water. William at reception was incredibly helpful, patient, and proactive—he shared insider tips on local attractions and resolved a minor check-in hiccup instantly. He even handed me a welcome fruit basket. Free lakeside bicycles, a heated pool, and a well-equipped kids’ play area made it ideal for families. Plus, free parking for self-driving guests. Whether you're here for a romantic getaway or a family vacation, this hotel blends French elegance with Jiangnan charm seamlessly. A flawless stay from start to finish.
