Lujiang Mega Hotel

Stayed at Lujiang Mega Hotel during New Year's in Xiamen and was completely blown away by the experience. The location is unbeatable—right next to Zhenzhu Bay Beach, perfect for families with kids who love digging in the sand and enjoying the sea breeze on a bike ride. The views are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. Staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive—always smiling, ready to help, and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and they even included a complimentary afternoon tea, which was such a nice surprise. The outdoor pool and dedicated family-friendly activity space made it ideal for both relaxation and fun. My kids had a blast, and I felt completely recharged. This hotel truly delivers on every level—comfort, convenience, and service. I’d absolutely stay here again if I ever return to Xiamen!

The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The lobby is spacious and elegant, and the front desk staff kindly upgraded us to a sea-view room—waking up to see the sunrise from the window was absolutely magical. Just across the street is the beach, only a five-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for beach lovers. The room itself was well-appointed, with a large bathtub that made a huge difference when I had a cold—I soaked for a while and felt much better. The service was outstanding: special shoutouts to Xiao Wang and Xiao Zhang at the front desk, the bellboy who delivered our takeout, the friendly greeting staff at the restaurant, and even the kitchen auntie who cooked the noodles—everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. This stay was perfect, and I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Xiamen. Highly recommend!

On departure, each bag was neatly labeled and left at the pier’s Suxiaotang shop under professional supervision—no stress at all. The sea-view afternoon tea in the century-old villa was pure bliss. My room had a warm red palette paired with bamboo accents and herringbone wood flooring—very much rooted in Fujian style while still feeling luxurious and modern. Upon check-in, I was greeted with a complimentary minibar and fresh welcome fruit, and the Happy Hour offering a variety of salads, snacks, fruits, and local delicacies was a real highlight. I upgraded my room, and over three days, the service remained consistently attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. There was a minor hiccup during my stay, but my hostess Bettie handled it with remarkable sincerity—she apologized promptly, offered a small gift as a gesture of goodwill, and even included a local specialty. While I politely declined the gift, what truly mattered was her genuine effort to make things right. The second-floor spa was another standout—using La Mer products left my skin feeling revitalized and glowing. Sitting on the balcony overlooking Gulangyu Island’s sea views was pure relaxation. The memory foam pillow was perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The front desk staff, especially Miss Hong Anqi, was incredibly kind and friendly—so sweet, I asked for an empty card as a keepsake, and she personally picked out the latest one for me. The housekeeping team also responded quickly whenever needed. This is more than just a place to stay—it’s a memorable experience. I’ll definitely come back every time I visit Xiamen. Following the photos provided by the staff made finding the hotel super easy—right across from San Yi Tang, so it’s very easy to spot. What stood out most was the luggage transfer service; traveling with an elderly person and a child, I can’t imagine managing without it. Navigating around Gulangyu is notoriously tricky, but the visual guidance really saved the day. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and incredibly delicious, and the afternoon tea set was a delightful bonus. Sipping tea in the second-floor garden felt like a peaceful retreat—perfect for unwinding and even saving money on coffee. Overall, this stay was exceptional from start to finish. The hospitality, attention to detail, and serene atmosphere make it a must-visit. Highly recommended!

One highlight was the kids’ play area on the 4th floor. We called ahead, and within just one minute, someone opened the door. Even though it was just us, the concierge manager Andy Yang personally stayed with our child, playing games and keeping him entertained—our little one had a blast. When we were leaving, Andy walked us all the way to the car, reminded the kid to dress warmly, and made sure he wouldn’t catch a cold. That level of care truly touched us. Staying at this place was a great experience overall. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had all the essentials we needed. The balcony offered stunning sea views—perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. It’s also very convenient for getting around; we took the metro to explore nearby spots without any hassle. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, so dining options were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were hoping to use the Zhuyanji photography pass, but unfortunately it was fully booked when we tried to reserve it (you need to book at least one day in advance). Still, despite that small disappointment, the quality of the stay made up for it. Highly recommend this hidden gem if you're looking for a peaceful yet well-connected getaway.
