Nestled right next to Shuhe Ancient Town, it’s super convenient whether you’re arriving by train or driving—free parking is a big plus, and getting to Yulong Snow Mountain is just a short drive away. I loved relaxing on my private balcony with a cold brew in hand, soaking up the sun during the afternoon. The room’s soundproofing is excellent—completely quiet and peaceful, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. At night, I’d just sit outside, enjoy the gentle breeze, and gaze at the stars—so calming and magical. Special thanks to front desk staff Kathy, who was incredibly helpful and warm throughout our stay. Her attention to detail made all the difference. Staff were incredibly attentive and responsive to any request, making us feel truly welcomed. The room itself was well-designed with smart layout, full separation between wet and dry areas, and spotless cleanliness. The window seat with tatami-style seating was my favorite spot—perfect for sipping tea and relaxing after a long day exploring. Breakfast was a real highlight: a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options, all fresh and delicious. And before checkout, we received a small but meaningful souvenir gift—simple yet heartfelt. Everything about this stay felt personal, warm, and well thought out. The rooms are cozy, well-appointed, and incredibly relaxing — just lying in bed, listening to the breeze and looking out at the snow-capped peaks, it feels like time slows down. The garden is beautifully designed with seasonal flowers and thoughtful landscaping, making every corner feel serene and inspiring. I didn’t do much during my stay — just lounging by the courtyard, sipping tea, and soaking in the views. It’s exactly the kind of escape I needed. We originally booked two nights in a deluxe king room, but upon check-in, we were upgraded to a luxurious duplex two-bedroom standalone villa—completely unexpected and so delightful! The resort’s traditional Chinese architecture and serene atmosphere made us feel like we’d stepped into a peaceful retreat. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—especially Rita, the on-duty manager, who gave us great recommendations for authentic restaurants in nearby Shuhe Ancient Town. Breakfast was a highlight: seated with panoramic views of the mountains, the buffet offered a wide variety of fresh options, including freshly made egg waffles that were absolutely delicious. Complimentary coffee or tea was available throughout the meal, and they even served a warm pear soup afterward—such a thoughtful touch. Shuttle service via electric cart made getting around the property super convenient. Every detail felt well thought out. This experience truly deserves a perfect score. Banyan Tree Lijiang

Staying at Banyan Tree Lijiang was an absolutely wonderful experience. The service throughout the property was outstanding, especially our personal host Elina—always helpful, responsive, and genuinely attentive. We arrived earlier than check-in time, and thanks to the platform’s assistance, we were able to get into our room ahead of schedule, which made a big difference. As soon as we stepped into the room during winter, it was already warmly heated—such a pleasant surprise. The room itself was spotless, beautifully designed with local charm, and came fully equipped with high-quality amenities. The dining experience truly stood out—the food was exceptional. I highly recommend the spicy chicken, black tofu, and shredded cabbage; each dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The view of Jade Mountain bathed in sunlight is breathtaking, and the ducks and geese around the pond are adorable—perfect for photos. The tennis court is easily bookable, and rackets and balls are available for rent. One small note: the latte art at the café wasn’t quite ready by 10 a.m., but that’s a minor detail. Overall, this stay exceeded expectations—serene, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed. A perfect retreat in Lijiang, and definitely worth returning.
