Must-try is Paddle Boating on the Lake, especially during spring or early autumn when willow trees sway gently and the bridge arches gracefully over the water. Every Saturday evening features the West Lake Night Poetry Gathering, where local poets and folk musicians perform under lantern light, blending ancient qin music with storytelling. The park also hosts the "Su Xiaoxiao Cultural Corner," offering hands-on workshops in traditional paper-cutting and ink painting, deepening your understanding of Hangzhou’s rich literary legacy.

The ideal time is late spring to early autumn (April to October), when the weather is mild and the lake reflects the bridge like a mirror. Early morning (6:30–8:00 AM) offers golden misty light, creating dreamlike scenes reminiscent of classical Chinese paintings. Start with a morning jog along the Changan Bridge Park jogging trail at 7:30 AM to enjoy sunrise over the lake. Head to Su Causeway entrance by 8:30 AM to rent a bicycle and ride to Flower Harbor View Garden. Pins De La Brume Hotel

Staying at Pins De La Brume Hotel in Hangzhou was an absolute delight. The moment I stepped into the courtyard, I was greeted by a peaceful serenity that instantly relaxed me. The room was immaculately clean and offered a stunning view of the distant mountain-top temple — serene and picturesque. The underfloor heating kept the room perfectly warm without being too hot, and the air purification system ran quietly, so it never disturbed my rest. Staff at the front desk and my personal concierge were incredibly attentive and thoughtful — they made sure every need was met with genuine care. During New Year’s holiday, when ride-sharing and buses were restricted near the scenic area, the hotel arranged a shuttle to drop us off right at the entrance, which was incredibly convenient. Everything was seamless and well-organized. This place isn’t just comfortable — it’s truly special. A perfect blend of tranquility, luxury, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning.

Sunday Sunny Resort

This was hands down the best booking of our trip—booked early before prices went up, and the value for money was outstanding. Nestled on San Tai Mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat with fresh air and stunning natural surroundings. The nearest bus stop is at Yu Qian Temple, but we actually preferred walking to Wugui Tan to try the rowboat ride—unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather, but we made up for it by taking a scenic water bus from Guo Zhuang Pier to Hua Gang Guan Yu. The views along the way were absolutely beautiful. After exploring Hua Gang Guan Yu, we returned via the Xiao Lian Qing Feng line from Su Di Pier, which dropped us right at Yu Qian Temple Station—perfect for heading back to the hotel. One small downside: limited food delivery options nearby, but overall, the experience was flawless. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm.

Upon check-in, the front desk staff was so welcoming they upgraded me to a Premium Deluxe King room at no extra cost—huge space, very comfortable, and the best part? It comes with a washer and dryer right in the room. Even better, the complimentary toiletries include laundry detergent—such a thoughtful touch! Breakfast is served at a restaurant in the underground food plaza, where you get vouchers to pick your own dishes. There’s a wide variety of options, and everything is delicious. You can enjoy a full meal for under $20—truly great value. I’ll definitely be back!
