This estate is absolutely massive—beyond the main building, it spreads across an entire hillside with a beautifully arranged cluster of villas (Xiangyuan) nestled among the trees. Just strolling in the sunshine felt like a mini escape from reality. The staff were proactive even before check-in, reaching out to ask about our preferences, and continued checking in throughout our stay—very attentive without being intrusive. From front desk to concierge, everyone responded quickly and warmly. We tried the yakitori dinner at Yiba and breakfast, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. Despite the surprisingly long corridors in the guest rooms—some of us joked we’d need a map to find our way back—the overall experience was outstanding. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a peaceful retreat that made our weekend truly memorable.

Staying at Hangzhou Xixi Park SAWA Boutique Hotel was an absolute delight. Located right on Xixi Road, the hotel is incredibly convenient—just an 8-minute drive from Lingyin Temple and Huanglong Commercial Area. The rooms are wonderfully quiet, with excellent soundproofing that makes it easy to relax and sleep peacefully. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the room layout feels thoughtful and spacious. I especially loved the large, bright bathroom with modern amenities and the beautiful wooden flooring that adds warmth and character to the space. Breakfast was a highlight—diverse and fresh, offering both Western and Chinese options, all prepared right in front of you. It’s rare to find such quality and variety in a boutique hotel. Highly recommended for travelers seeking comfort, location, and a touch of elegance.

I’ve long admired Wangzhuang, the iconic lakeside retreat near West Lake in Hangzhou, and finally had the chance to stay here during a Black Friday deal that felt like a steal. The moment I stepped in, I could tell this was something special—excellent service, top-notch dining, and an atmosphere that truly feels luxurious. The property is vast, with beautifully maintained lawns and trees. Since we visited right at peak season for maple and ginkgo foliage, the grounds were gently dusted with golden leaves, creating a magical, almost cinematic setting. Paths are clean and well-kept, making it easy to wander around for hours just taking photos and soaking in the scenery. We booked the daily 10 AM 'Wangzhuang Cruise' tour, which circles West Lake in about an hour. The boat itself is spotless, with comfortable upholstered seats, air-conditioned enclosed cabins, and panoramic glass windows that offer stunning views of both sides of the lake. I especially loved standing at the back deck to capture sweeping shots of the water and gardens—absolutely breathtaking. The highlight of the stay was the complimentary photography package. While one of the staff members from Hainan came across as rather abrupt and inflexible, the photographer, Mr. Song, and the makeup artist were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. Their work brought out the best in our photos, and the final results were truly memorable. Overall, despite a minor hiccup, the experience exceeded expectations—this place deserves every bit of its reputation.

Breakfast was a highlight: a well-curated mix of Chinese and Western options, with standout dishes like freshly made lotus root paste and Dingsheng cake—delicate, sweet, and perfect with a cup of Longjing tea to start the day. The on-site restaurant serves exquisite Jiangnan fusion cuisine. The signature fish head dish is a masterpiece—blending classic Hangzhou flavors with modern techniques, where the aroma of fresh fragrant bamboo shoots dances with the savory depth of ham. I also enjoyed afternoon tea at the lounge, set in a beautifully designed space with panoramic views. The rooms are a thoughtful blend of traditional Chinese garden aesthetics and smart technology. The wooden furnishings, soft lighting, and top-quality bedding (rumored to be from the renowned Kingsdown brand) made for an incredibly restful night’s sleep. Staying at Zhejiang Narada Grand Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—right next to the metro station and just a short walk from West Lake, making it super convenient for exploring Hangzhou. We visited during New Year’s Eve, and the hotel staff, especially our personal concierge Sasha, went above and beyond—she upgraded us to a larger room without hesitation and handled all our requests promptly and warmly. The room itself was fantastic: top-notch amenities including Dyson hairdryers, premium toiletries, and a spacious bathtub that made relaxing effortless. The second-floor Sichuan restaurant is a real highlight—perfectly balanced spice level that suits local tastes. One minor note: the heating system in the room fluctuated a bit, and the shower drain could be slightly more efficient. But honestly, these are small tweaks for such a well-run, beautifully designed hotel with excellent service and value. I’d definitely come back.

Staying at Zhejiang Great Hall of the People Hotel was an absolute delight. The room was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches like handwritten notes left by staff during each housekeeping visit—small details that made a big difference. On our first evening, we were greeted with a warm welcome pack: fresh milk and a small snack delivered to the room, which added such a personal touch. Water bottles were refilled promptly and consistently, no need to worry about staying hydrated. Best of all, the hotel’s location is unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk to the West Lake boat dock, making exploring the scenic area super convenient. This place offers exceptional value and a memorable experience—highly recommend for anyone visiting Hangzhou.

I’ve been to Hangzhou every year, and this time I decided to stay at a tea plantation in Longjing Village. After comparing several options on the platform, I chose Landison Longjing Resort for its perfect balance of location, service, and value. Nestled right in the heart of the tea fields, the resort offers breathtaking views of endless green tea gardens. Along the winding roads, you’ll see local farmers harvesting and processing tea—so authentic and peaceful. The staff were exceptional from start to finish. Front desk agent Xiao Chen was incredibly attentive—when we asked for a better view room, he personally escorted us upstairs to pick one, even upgraded us without hesitation. When we preferred staying in, he brought extra bottled water for brewing tea. The rooms are spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows framing stunning mountain views. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Even the complimentary Longjing tea in the room was fresh and fragrant. Breakfast was simple but delicious—the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the noodles were so good I ended up eating three portions! I requested a late checkout, and when I left, Xiao Chen again went out of his way—bringing water, helping load luggage, and even waiving the fee for a broken glass. That kind of thoughtfulness truly made my stay unforgettable. Yes, some facilities show signs of age, but considering the serene setting, top-tier service, and great value, this resort is absolutely worth it. If I ever return to Hangzhou for a tea-focused getaway, I’d choose this place again without hesitation.
