Stay at Guilin Lijiang View Cloud Top Resort, located just steps from Longmen Bridge, offering panoramic views of the Lijiang River’s meandering waters and karst mountain landscapes. The hotel blends traditional Guangxi architecture with modern comforts, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces, and an indoor infinity pool. Walk 5 minutes to the bridge’s viewing platform for sunrise and sunset photography. Complimentary shuttle service connects to downtown Guilin, and nearby river docks offer easy access to bamboo raft tours, immersing you in the poetic 'traveler in a painting' experience.

Near Longmen Bridge, explore upstream hiking trails along the scenic path and discover hidden karst caves with ancient stalactites and lush vegetation. The river below is a prime spot for traditional bamboo rafting, gliding through mirror-like waters to view iconic landmarks like Elephant Trunk Hill and the Nine Horses Mural Cave. Guided tours often include photography routes optimized for golden-hour lighting. Visit early morning for fewer crowds, crisp air, and unmatched serenity—ideal for nature lovers and photographers seeking authentic Guilin experiences.

It takes only 15 to 20 minutes to reach downtown Guilin from Longmen Bridge via major roads like Lijiang Road and Zhongshan Road, both well-maintained and traffic-efficient. Public buses (e.g., Route 301, 89) run frequently from the Longmen Bridge stop, costing just ¥2. Ride-hailing apps and electric bike rentals are available at designated pickup zones. If driving, the bridge features a dedicated parking lot with smart navigation systems guiding visitors to key attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill and Renmin Street, making it a perfect base for day trips.

Yes, Guilin Youth Science Museum and Wanfu Park Family Fun Zone are ideal for families. The science museum offers interactive exhibits including space simulators, weather labs, and robot play areas, turning learning into adventure. Wanfu Park features sand pits, climbing structures, and a wetland birdwatching platform—perfect for kids to explore nature safely. Both sites have shaded rest areas and wheelchair-accessible paths. The bridge itself is a great photo backdrop, especially at dusk when lights reflect on the water, creating dreamy moments for family memories.

Longmen Bridge transforms at night with an intelligent LED lighting system that creates dynamic waves and color gradients, mimicking flowing rivers under starlight. From 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, a themed light show unfolds with synchronized music and projections telling stories of Guilin’s legends—like Liu Sanjie’s Singing and Moonlight on the Lijiang. The bridge and railings pulse rhythmically, blending with reflections on the water to form a shimmering galaxy. During festivals like Mid-Autumn or the Zhuang Nationality March Third Festival, expect fireworks displays and folk culture performances, plus temporary food stalls and craft workshops. Combine with a night river cruise for the ultimate view from the water.

The latter is famous for beer fish, made with fresh Lijiang-caught fish simmered in beer, chili, and spices—tender, flavorful, and served with lotus leaf rice. Street vendors also offer oil tea eggs and aiye zongzi, warm and fragrant snacks perfect for a quick bite. All restaurants use locally sourced ingredients, ensuring freshness and tradition in every dish.

This stay at Home Inn (Guilin Railway Station Zhongshan South Road) was absolutely outstanding. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with excellent attention to detail in housekeeping—everything felt fresh and well-maintained, even late at night. I was particularly impressed by the front desk staff, Wang Daozong, who was on duty on November 2nd. The location is super convenient for getting around, especially heading to Liangjiang Four Lakes. Li River CIAO Hotel( Guilin Elephant Trunk Hill)

Staying at Li River CIAO Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Guilin! The room view overlooking the Li River was breathtaking—every morning felt like waking up in a postcard. Service was prompt and friendly; whether I called or messaged via WeChat, responses came quickly. To my surprise, they upgraded our room for free and even offered a late checkout—such a thoughtful touch! My mom and I both loved the chairs in the room—they were surprisingly comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a long day. I also booked the one-hour artistic photo shoot experience, which was efficient and delivered great results: three beautiful, natural-looking photos that captured the moment perfectly. The custom gift set included a calming essential oil with real rose petals inside—opening it released such a rich, soothing rose scent that instantly lifted my mood. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to visit the Gu Opera cultural exhibition, but that didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. From the location to the personal touches, this hotel truly stands out. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, stylish stay with a hint of local charm.

Jolie Vue Bontique Hotel(Elephant Trunk Hill and Two Rivers and Four Lakes )

Staying at Jolie Vue Bontique Hotel was an absolute delight, especially because of the unbeatable location right across from Elephant Trunk Hill. The view from the 7th floor is simply stunning—perfect for capturing photos of the Li River and the iconic mountain silhouette. Our host, Xiao Xiao, was warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful, offering local dining tips and even surprising us with an extra breakfast when we checked in with my parents. The restaurant on the 7th floor serves one of the best beer fish dishes I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. Even the housekeeping staff stood out with their friendly greetings: 'Back from exploring?' or 'Enjoying your day?'—small gestures that made the stay feel personal and welcoming. It was a chilly time in Guilin, but the genuine warmth of the team made all the difference. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Guilin Exhibition International Hotel

This was my second visit to Guilin, and while my friend ended up arriving a day late, I decided to upgrade from the twin room to a Executive Panoramic King Room on-site — and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The moment I stepped into the room, I was instantly captivated by the expansive view of the Jiàtiāxià Exhibition Center Plaza outside the floor-to-ceiling windows — so bright and open, it felt like stepping into a postcard. There was even a fresh fruit platter waiting on the table. As always, I took a few minutes to check every corner of the room, which is just habit after years of traveling. While the space felt generous for solo use, that only added to the comfort and sense of luxury. Cleanliness was top-notch: spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed with clear separation between bathroom, shower, and bathtub areas — a smart dry-wet division that works perfectly. One thing I always worry about when staying in hotels? Noise, bed comfort, and bedding weight. But here, not a single concern arose. No sound from the hallway or outside, and the pillows were just right — supportive yet soft. The blanket was lightweight but cozy, and I slept through the night like a baby. Right after check-in, the concierge messaged me via WeChat to share local tips and explain the layout of the building. Later that evening, a sweet gesture: a complimentary cup of chrysanthemum, goji berry, and loquat tea delivered by a friendly staff member — such a thoughtful touch. Of course, I came here partly for the infinity pool, and wow — it lived up to expectations. The panoramic view of surrounding mountains through the glass wall looked almost like a scene from a classical Chinese painting. Perfect for photographers and anyone who loves a scenic swim. Water temperature was ideal at 28°C during winter (26°C in summer), strictly maintained according to national standards. The transparent roof lets in sunlight all day, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. On sunny days, you can even catch a stunning sunset from the water’s edge — though today was cloudy, I still lingered there longer than planned, lost in the view, until I realized how hungry I’d become. Time for dinner! Adjacent to the pool is a well-equipped fitness center with treadmills, chest press machines, back pull-downs, leg extension equipment, and adjustable dumbbells — great for regular gym-goers. And kudos to the hotel for having a dedicated laundry and drying room; in humid Guilin, especially during rainy spells, this feature is absolutely essential and incredibly convenient. Breakfast was another highlight — far better than most mid-tier hotels. Plenty of variety, including freshly made Guilin rice noodles and oil tea, plus standard Western options. It felt satisfying and authentic, not just a quick bite. A small suggestion: adding a pack of wet wipes in the bathroom would be a lovely upgrade. Overall, this stay exceeded all expectations — great value, excellent service, and unforgettable views.
