As a traveler from southern China, this was my first visit to Shandong during the National Day Golden Week, coming from Wuhan with my wife and kids. After spending two days in Jinan, we made our way to Qingdao—after browsing through many options online, we finally chose this GreenTree Inn Smart Choice Hotel. We ended up staying for three nights and honestly didn’t want to leave! The experience was truly memorable for three reasons: First, the location is unbeatable—right near Qingdao Railway Station, just a short walk to the seaside and within easy reach of major attractions like Zhanqiao Pier. Second, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—true to Shandong’s reputation for hospitality. The female manager greeted us with genuine friendliness and even upgraded our room at no extra cost, including a cozy tatami-style kids’ area that our little ones absolutely loved. Third, the breakfast was outstanding—wide variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious flavors. You really have to see the photos to believe how much there was. This hotel delivered far beyond expectations. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and authentic local charm.

Bolinheju Hotel

The room was incredibly clean—way better than I expected. Everything was well-maintained and modern, especially the heated toilet seat, which made a big difference in comfort. The location is perfect: right at the entrance of Yan'an Third Road Metro Station, with easy access to Line 3, connecting directly to Qingdao Railway Station and Qingdao North Station. There are countless dining options within walking distance—great for trying local food. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming; when I mentioned how much I liked the little cookies they had out, she kindly offered me extra ones, like a family member looking after you. That personal touch really stood out. Overall, the value for money is outstanding, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Qingdao.

Anna Garden b&B

The room was bright and spacious with stunning views, and the courtyard is incredibly picturesque—perfect for photos. What really made the stay special were the two chubby, adorable cats who were absolutely loveable and very relaxed around guests. There was also a quirky rooster that added a unique charm to the place. I couldn’t help but focus all my attention on the cats and the rooster, so I only managed to snap a few shots of them—sorry I didn’t capture more of the surroundings! The location is excellent—very close to both the Third Beach and the Badaguan area, making it easy to explore on foot or by subway. With such a warm atmosphere, great vibes, and unforgettable little residents, this place truly stands out. I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Qingdao again!

Jinhua house Sea View B & B (Qingdao May 4th Square store)

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The moment I opened the window, I was greeted with a breathtaking view of the open sea—especially magical at night when the city’s light show illuminated the skyline. The ambiance was so peaceful and calming, it felt like living in a postcard. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the subway station, and within a 15-minute stroll to the shopping mall. The room itself was spotless, well-equipped, and came with brand-new, single-use toiletries—very thoughtful and hygienic. The host was incredibly responsive, and the check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow, making the entire process seamless. I especially loved spending an evening walking along the waterfront, enjoying the cool breeze and the gentle waves. It was such a relaxing and memorable experience—I’d definitely come back again.

Qingdao Mido Selected Resort Apartment

Staying here was an absolute breeze—everything I wanted was within walking distance. The pier, Zhongshan Road, and the Catholic Church were all just a short stroll away. Taxis start at the base fare, and buses only take three stops to get you there—super convenient. This place offers incredible value, especially during the off-season when rates are even more reasonable. Check-in was quick and smooth with no waiting in line, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Bonus: parking at the nearby cruise terminal is much cheaper than other options. And the beachfront location? Perfect for photos—especially at sunset. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. I’d definitely come back.
