Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

Since we were visiting Xiamen for New Year’s Eve, they even surprised us with two complimentary breakfast vouchers, and I appreciated how flexible they were in rescheduling the dining date to match our plans. The room itself was spacious, cozy, and incredibly quiet—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The temperature was just right, and the fridge was stocked with free drinks, which was a nice touch. Cleanliness was top-notch throughout—everything felt spotless and well-maintained. We booked late and spent quite some time comparing options before choosing this hotel, but honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made. The hotel offers laundry and drying facilities, and the fitness center is well-equipped for basic workouts. What really stands out is the incredible value for money. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this place delivers comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. I’ve grown to love not just the hotel, but the sense of belonging it brings. While the nearest metro station is about a 10–15 minute walk away, getting around Xiamen is incredibly easy thanks to abundant taxis and ride-sharing options, so it wasn’t an issue at all. The breakfast spread was generous and delicious, offering a variety of fresh, well-prepared options. Overall, this hotel delivers outstanding value and comfort. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xiamen who wants a quiet, stylish, and thoughtfully-run place to stay.

Echarm Hotel

As a visitor from Taiwan, I was thrilled to return to Xiamen for my second visit, staying here for three nights during the summer holiday (I previously stayed in room R720). This time I was in room R627, and while the overall experience was still excellent, there was one small downside—the bathroom had a lingering urine smell that never fully dissipated. I’d recommend checking ventilation or cleaning protocols in that area. However, the breakfast was absolutely fantastic—freshly made noodles with a great taste and a wide variety of options. It felt like a real treat each morning. The hotel is also super convenient for exploring local eats: just a short bus ride away from Malong She Food Street, and even closer to Dianqian Qingshui Temple and Chaotian Temple, both located in vibrant urban villages packed with delicious street food. If I ever come back to Xiamen, I’ll definitely choose Echarm Hotel Torch Garden Station again—it’s well-located, comfortable, and offers great value. Highly recommended!

Staying at Urba S Hotel near Gaoqi Airport was a fantastic choice, especially for travelers with early or late flights. The hotel is incredibly close to the airport—just look out the window and you can see planes landing right before your eyes. That’s such a unique touch! Room cleanliness was excellent, and the overall hygiene standards were impressive. While there aren’t many dining options nearby—most restaurants are a bit of a walk away—the convenience of being so close to the airport makes up for it. I did appreciate that staff were available 24/7, which added peace of mind during my stay. As for the 'Sleep Care Package' and the lobby self-service coffee bar—I’m not sure if I missed them or they weren’t really in use during my visit, but honestly, I didn’t miss anything. The entire experience was top-notch, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel for airport transit stays.

The guest manager, Xiao Luo, went above and beyond—she reached out before check-in to confirm details and checked in regularly during our stay to ensure everything was satisfactory. On checkout day, she even arranged a late departure without hassle, which was incredibly thoughtful. The room itself was spotless and comfortable, with soft bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. The housekeeping staff were thorough and attentive, leaving no corner untouched. Every team member we interacted with showed genuine warmth and professionalism. From start to finish, the service felt personal and caring. It’s a perfect choice for families or anyone looking for a welcoming, well-run hotel. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.
