We visited Wuhan during New Year’s and had friends from Hefei staying with us. Since we wanted to be close to Wuhan University, we chose the newly opened LuoJia Hills Hotel East Lake Branch. We booked a lake-view room, and both my partner and I were thoroughly impressed. The entire wall of the room is glass, offering an amazing view of East Lake—nearly 80% of the window area is dedicated to the scenic outlook. Upon arrival, the air conditioning was already on, so we stepped into a cool, welcoming room right away. However, if you're arriving by car, don’t just type in the hotel name directly into your GPS—doing so will lead you down a narrow alleyway that’s tricky to navigate. Instead, aim for the hotel entrance from Zhangzhidong Avenue to avoid confusion. Also worth noting: not all rooms have river views. I booked a non-riverside room on my first day, but after upgrading and requesting a riverside view for my second night, the view was absolutely worth it. So definitely specify ‘riverside view’ when booking. Overall, the hotel delivers excellent value with its location, service, and comfort—highly recommend for travelers visiting Wuhan.
