Millennium Hotel Chengdu

Staying at Millennium Hotel Chengdu (South Station Branch) was a great experience overall. The room I booked was a scenic view room with plenty of space, and the view across the street to Xianshentree Park was absolutely stunning—perfect for morning light or evening city views. However, the windows were completely non-operable, which made ventilation an issue. I understand safety concerns due to the high floor level, but allowing a small opening would be much more practical than having no airflow at all. The staff were excellent—especially the concierge who helped me collect my package, saving me a lot of time. For food delivery, unfortunately, you have to go downstairs yourself to pick it up; a robot delivery service would be a nice upgrade. The laundry room only has one dryer, which became a major bottleneck during peak holiday periods—adding another unit would make a big difference. On the hygiene side, there’s room for improvement: no trash bags in any of the bins, making them uncomfortable to use, and there were stubborn stains on the bathroom floor that weren’t visible until I moved the carpet accidentally. Despite these minor issues, the hotel met my expectations. Great location, good value, and I’d definitely choose this place again when visiting Chengdu.

The room itself was outstanding – the bedding was perfect: the mattress had just the right firmness, and the down comforter was light yet cozy, ensuring a truly restful night’s sleep. Everything was spotless – immaculate cleanliness from top to bottom. Upon returning, I even found a lovely turn-down service waiting for me, which added such a warm, personal touch. The welcome fruit platter was a nice surprise too, especially the hotel’s own Aoyuan jelly tangerines – juicy, sweet, and fresh. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable – just across the street from In99, where dining, shopping, and entertainment are all within easy reach. Yet, despite being in the heart of the action, the hotel somehow manages to feel calm and serene – more peaceful than the Waldorf right next door. This stay was truly flawless. The room was on a higher floor, which not only provided great views but also kept noise to a minimum. Everything was well-maintained: clean, spacious, with a bathtub and all essential amenities neatly arranged. I was impressed by the robot delivery for takeout orders—such a cool touch! Staff were attentive and friendly, especially Diana and Xiao Zhang, who personally brought fresh fruit and even offered welcome tea upon arrival. There was also complimentary mineral water available at the elevator area—a small but thoughtful detail. Every aspect of the stay felt premium and well thought out. This is one of those hotels where you can truly feel cared for. Highly recommend it—10/10, would definitely return.

Renaissance Chengdu Hotel

Staying at Renaissance Chengdu Hotel again during my visit to Chengdu was an absolute delight. The location is incredibly convenient—just steps away from the metro, making it easy to explore the city’s top attractions. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and peaceful, offering a nice escape from the urban buzz. The front desk staff—Xiao Du, Leo, and Rose—were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making check-in smooth and personal. The concierge team was helpful and courteous, always ready to assist with recommendations or transportation needs. Breakfast was outstanding: a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, both local and international, served with care. Room service arrived promptly and was professional throughout. I especially loved the 29th-floor lounge—elegant ambiance, stunning views of the city skyline, and attentive yet unobtrusive service. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing drink after a long day. This stay exceeded all expectations. I’m already looking forward to returning—the experience was flawless, and the value truly stands out.
