The view from the window was stunning—sitting by the window with my daughter enjoying afternoon tea while watching the sun rise was such a peaceful moment. The hotel sits right beside a beautiful lake, and just a few minutes’ walk leads to a lovely lakeside playground where our little one could run around and burn off energy—definitely helped her sleep better that night. Breakfast is served in a lakeside buffet setting with great views. While the variety isn’t on par with high-end hotels back home, it’s actually quite generous considering the price point. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, toast, and coffee—all satisfyingly good. Overall, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming, staff are friendly, and the whole experience felt authentic and relaxing. A real hidden gem in Auckland, and I’d definitely come back.
