That House Hongdae

Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo
Staying at Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo was an absolute surprise and one of the highlights of our trip to Seoul. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 2-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, 8 minutes to a 24-hour café, 10 minutes to the subway (Green Line), 15 minutes to Hongdae, and just 20 minutes to Sinchon on foot. The room itself is compact but well-designed with excellent water pressure and smooth drainage. The bathtub was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Towels, tissues, and bottled water are available for free at the lounge—great for refills. The lounge area is huge and packed with amenities: self-service washing machines, dryers, even a dry cleaner! Every seating area has plenty of power outlets—so thoughtful. There’s also a large gym perfect for fitness lovers, and two spacious kitchens where you can cook or heat up meals. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English, making check-in and any requests super easy. This place offers such great value and comfort—it truly exceeded expectations. I took some photos during my stay, though I forgot that uploads are only allowed through the platform. Still, I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Seoul.

Seoul Mansion Guesthouse
The room was spacious enough for four people, with plenty of room to move around and store belongings. Cleaning is done only upon request, but the place remains very clean and well-maintained overall. One major plus is having a washing machine in the unit—no need to go downstairs or wait in line. There’s also a shared laundry and dryer on the third floor if you prefer, which is convenient when traveling with a lot of clothes. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, so bringing luggage up and down can be a bit tiring—just be prepared to use your energy! If you arrive early and the room isn’t ready yet, they provide a secure space on the ground floor to store your bags. Location-wise, it’s perfect—right next to the subway station, surrounded by cafes, convenience stores, and just a short walk from Daiso and other shops selling everything from daily essentials and contact lenses to souvenirs and quick bites. It’s ideal for travelers who value convenience, affordability, and a local vibe—all in a great neighborhood.
OPPA Hostel Sinchon-Hongdae
The host is incredibly friendly and speaks fluent Chinese, English, and Japanese—no language barrier at all! The room was spotless and well-maintained, making the stay super comfortable. Right outside the door is Sinchon Square, and there's a fantastic local restaurant nearby known for its delicious potato stew with beef—so good, you'll want to come back just for the food. The location is perfect: literally steps away from the subway station, so getting around to Hongdae, Myeongdong, or other areas is super convenient. With great service, cleanliness, and unbeatable value, this hostel deserves every bit of its 10/10 rating. I’ll definitely be returning if I ever come back to Seoul!

Staying at Seoulcube Ewha was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Seoul. The room was spotlessly clean, and the space felt thoughtfully designed—compact but cozy, with a comfortable bed that made for a great night's sleep. What stood out most was the freedom to come and go as I pleased; no check-in times or restrictions, which is perfect for travelers who value flexibility. Free coffee and tea packs are available, and all the toiletries—from shampoo to toothbrushes—are provided, so you don’t need to pack extra items. The hostess is incredibly friendly and speaks excellent English, making communication easy even if you don’t speak Korean. She’s patient and welcoming, which really added to the positive experience. For the price, this guesthouse offers amazing value—hard to beat in Seoul. If I ever return to Korea, I’ll definitely book here again. Highly recommended!
Fairmont Ambassador Seoul
The hotel is immaculate and beautifully designed, with an unbeatable location just steps away from LFC. What truly stood out was the front desk staff member who happened to be from Hong Kong—when they noticed we didn’t speak Korean, they went above and beyond to assist with check-in, patiently guiding us through the process. It’s rare to feel such genuine care while traveling far from home. I really wanted to thank them in person, but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to see them again. Finding a familiar face in a foreign city made all the difference—it felt like a small but meaningful connection. A heartfelt thanks to that kind soul for making our stay so much more personal and welcoming.
Dongjak (Daebangdong) Hyu
I stayed here during Chuseok and was pleasantly surprised. Compared to the nearby motels, this place stands out as a much better option—especially if you're staying in Dongjak or Daebangdong area. The rooms have great potential; with a bit more upkeep, it could easily be a solid 4-star hotel. It's just a short walk from the subway station, making commuting super convenient. There are plenty of dining options around, so whether you're hanging out with friends or enjoying a quiet evening with your partner, this is the perfect spot to unwind. A truly relaxing and comfortable stay that feels like your own personal retreat.

My roommate was friendly and considerate, making the stay feel comfortable and welcoming. I’ll admit, I was initially worried about the bathroom cleanliness, but I couldn’t have been more wrong—the space was spotless, meticulously cleaned daily with no traces of grime or water stains. The complimentary breakfast items were a real highlight: fresh croissants and snacks that tasted great. The ciabatta bread provided on the first two mornings was absolutely delicious—light, airy, and perfect with coffee. It’s a bit disappointing that it switched to doughnuts on the final day, though they were still tasty. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way—cleanliness, service, value, and atmosphere. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.
