Just pop out of one of the exits near Kongde and you're immediately in front of a famous pig trotter street—great for late-night snacks. I heard there’s also a food alley behind the hotel, but we were too exhausted to explore it. Across the street is an OY store, perfect for grabbing essentials. Airport buses drop you off right at the door, and returning to the airport is just as smooth—just walk straight from McDonald’s to the bus stop across the street. Front desk staff speak English, and one gentleman even speaks Chinese, so communication was never an issue. They don’t provide toothpaste or toothbrushes, but those are available at the lobby shop. The bath amenities? Absolutely top-notch. My hair felt soft and silky after washing—probably thanks to the local water quality, though I didn’t get the brand name. Staying at Shilla Stay Mapo (Hongdae) was an excellent experience overall. The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk from Hongdae Station Exit 1, with a 7-Eleven right next door and other convenience stores like CU and OY within easy reach. The room was more spacious than expected for a city hotel; we had two suitcases laid out flat on the floor, yet still felt plenty of room to move around. Daily housekeeping made the stay even more comfortable. The only minor downside was the sound insulation—some noise from neighboring rooms came through, but it didn’t disrupt our rest significantly. For the price and location, this place offers great value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul’s vibrant Hongdae area.

There’s also a Wowpass machine and a small convenience store in the lobby, which is super handy for quick needs. Nearby, you’ll find Olive Young and E-Mart—perfect for grabbing snacks or travel essentials. One thing to note: the bathtub lacks non-slip strips, so be cautious when stepping in. Other than that, everything else is top-notch. Great location, excellent value, and a welcoming vibe—highly recommend this place if you’re looking for comfort and convenience in central Seoul.

We booked a standard twin room, and the bed was generously sized and incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night's sleep. What really stood out was that the windows opened for ventilation; it’s such a small detail, but having fresh air circulating made a big difference in comfort. The hotel is literally steps away from the subway station, making travel around Seoul effortless. Whether you're heading to shopping districts, tourist spots, or local eateries, everything is within easy reach. The neighborhood itself is lively and full of great dining options—there’s no shortage of delicious food nearby. Plus, there’s a direct shuttle bus to and from the airport, saving me so much time and hassle. If I ever return to Seoul, this will be my first choice again. Located right in the heart of Hongdae’s bustling district, you’re surrounded by trendy restaurants, cozy bars, unique boutiques, and endless street energy—perfect for night owls and food lovers alike. The design is sleek and modern, with a stylish lobby on the 21st floor featuring self-check-in and check-out, plus smart lockers for luggage. I especially loved the rooftop pool on the 22nd floor—open only in summer, but what a treat to enjoy it under the sun or during golden hour. The room was spacious, chic, and thoughtfully equipped, including a welcome drink and snacks—small touches that made the stay feel special. With its prime location, cool aesthetic, and excellent value, this hotel offers more than just a place to sleep. It’s an experience. Definitely coming back.
