Mir Guesthouse
Staying at Mir Guesthouse was the highlight of my five-day solo trip to Jeju Island. The staff are always ready to help with anything, whether it’s directions or local tips. There are some simple house rules—lights out by 11 PM, quiet hours after that, and washing your own dishes after breakfast—but instead of feeling restrictive, I found them comforting, like being part of a small, caring family. It actually helped me keep a more balanced routine and appreciate daily rituals. I’d wave hello to the owner each morning, and he’d always reply with a cheerful 'Have a nice day!'—such a small thing, but it stayed with me. This balance of warmth and gentle structure truly reflects Korean hospitality. I fell in love with Jeju, and now I love this guesthouse too. If you’re visiting Korea, don’t miss this place—it’s not just a stay, it’s an experience. I’ll definitely come back.

Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. The place itself is spotless, secure, and well-maintained—ideal for solo travelers who want peace of mind. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and two convenience stores within walking distance, so grabbing snacks or a quick bite is never an issue. Overall, this was one of the best stays I’ve had in Jeju—great location, amazing staff, and excellent value. I’d definitely come back again!

One minor drawback: no power outlet by the bed, so I needed to keep extra chargers on hand. The lobby has a coin-operated coffee machine, microwave, and hot water dispenser—super convenient, especially after checking out but needing to leave luggage behind. What made it unforgettable? It snowed during Christmas—what a magical surprise! For the price, this is an excellent value, and I’d definitely stay here again.
