Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: right across from the train station, so getting here or heading out was super convenient. I didn’t need to take a single taxi—I walked to most major attractions like Marienplatz and the Old Town in just minutes. There’s also a supermarket nearby, which made grabbing essentials effortless. If you're feeling tired from a busy itinerary, this hotel offers the deep, restful sleep you need—my bed was incredibly comfortable. All amenities are well-maintained, and the staff are genuinely welcoming to international guests. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a calm, relaxing base in Munich.

Ambassador Parkhotel

Staying at Ambassador Parkhotel in Munich was an absolute delight. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—my luggage was securely stored in a dedicated room right upon arrival, which made checking in so much easier. One thing to note: if you're arriving after 9 PM, the front desk closes by 10 PM, so it's best to call ahead. They’ll leave your name, room number, and key card at the front counter for easy access. The rooms are fully carpeted, creating a cozy, quiet atmosphere perfect for a good night’s sleep—no noise from other guests or hallways. For the restroom in the lobby, you’ll need to ask reception for a key, which is a small inconvenience but worth it. What really stands out is the nearby beer garden—it’s huge, relaxed, and perfect for sipping local German beer while enjoying traditional sausages and hearty Bavarian fare. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you can truly soak in the local vibe. With such a great location, top-notch service, and unbeatable atmosphere, this hotel offers exceptional value. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Munich.

Hotel Galleria

Staying at Hotel Galleria in Munich was a pleasant surprise overall. Located in a great area with easy access to public transit and nearby restaurants, the value for money stood out—especially compared to other options in the neighborhood. The only minor issue was that there were no pillows on the bed upon arrival, which was a bit confusing since it’s uncommon in Europe. I’ve stayed in many European hotels before, and this was definitely an odd oversight. Also, the door lock had an old-fashioned design that made it slightly tricky to open—required a bit more effort than expected. Despite these small quirks, the hotel delivered on comfort, cleanliness, and location. If you're looking for a budget-friendly yet well-located stay in Munich without sacrificing quality, this is a solid choice. A few thoughtful touches could make it even better, but as-is, it’s definitely worth considering.

HI Munich Park Youth Hostel

We stayed at HI Munich Park Youth Hostel for just two nights during a quick transit stop. While it’s perfectly fine for a 4-5 night stay, it might feel a bit limiting if you’re planning to stay longer. That said, even though I’ve seen more modern hostels before, this one is still a solid option. The rooms are small and a bit dated, but clean and functional—especially since each room has its own private shower and toilet. There’s usually someone at reception, which is helpful for check-in or questions. Staff were consistently polite, though occasionally seemed a little disengaged. The location is great if you don’t want to be right in the city center—just a short walk from the Isar River, Tierpark (zoo), several cozy beer gardens, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast buffet was generous in variety, but not as fresh or high-quality as other hostels we’ve stayed at. Unfortunately, the rolls were dry on both mornings—probably too old. Still, the hostel offers plenty of free activities: table football, table tennis, board games, and common areas to hang out. It’s a good mix of convenience, affordability, and social atmosphere—ideal for travelers looking for a relaxed base without overspending.

The moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warm hospitality and professional attention—so attentive without being overbearing. My room was immaculate, with a perfectly comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. What really stood out? The hotel went above and beyond to welcome my furry companion—complete with a cozy dog bed and personalized feeding bowl. It felt like they truly cared about every guest, human or four-legged! The location is ideal—just a short walk to public transit and the heart of the city. If you're looking for luxury, thoughtful service, and a touch of homey warmth, this hotel delivers on all fronts. I can’t recommend it highly enough—definitely returning next time I’m in Munich.

Rosewood Munich

Staying at Rosewood Munich was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, steps away from historic landmarks and bustling streets. Walking out the door felt like stepping into the soul of Munich. The hotel’s blend of old-world charm with modern luxury is stunning; every detail in the architecture and interior design reflects a deep respect for heritage. Cleanliness? Impeccable—spotless rooms and facilities that made me feel completely at ease. Service was next-level: calls answered instantly, requests handled without delay. It’s clear they prioritize guest comfort above all. That said, one thing stood out as a bit steep—the dinner package, which cost nearly €3,000 for two rooms. While that’s definitely not for everyone, it didn’t overshadow the overall experience. For those seeking elegance, history, and exceptional service, this hotel delivers in spades. Worth every penny if you’re looking for a truly memorable stay.

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich

Walking into the room was an absolute delight—the birthday surprise waiting for me was so thoughtful, and the Lady in Red team truly went above and beyond. After a delicious breakfast, I happened to spot Zheng Qinwen right outside the hotel entrance—turns out she was staying here too! What a serendipitous moment. From the warm welcome to the seamless service throughout my stay, every detail felt carefully curated. The elegance, the atmosphere, the attention to personal touches—it all adds up to an unforgettable experience. This is more than just a hotel; it’s a destination worth returning to. Staying at Sofitel Munich Bayerpost was an absolute highlight of my trip to Munich. Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor - a Concept by Hyatt

Staying at Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor was an absolute highlight of my trip to Munich. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Dietlindenstraße U-Bahn station, making it super easy to explore the city, whether you're heading to the Olympic Park, BMW Museum, or Marienplatz. From the moment I walked in, the design felt authentically Munich—modern yet deeply rooted in local culture, with subtle touches like the Saint Charles apothecary products in the bathroom that made me feel like I was staying somewhere truly special. I booked a standard king room (38 sqm), which felt spacious and thoughtfully laid out, especially with the floor-to-ceiling windows offering serene views of the greenery outside. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower area—featuring a large walk-in setup—was a real treat after a long day of sightseeing. Dining-wise, The Lonely Broccoli is a must-visit. As Munich’s first modern meat-focused restaurant, it delivers on every level. I highly recommend the Wagyu Beef Burger with brioche bun, onion jam, bacon, and cheddar—it’s rich, juicy, and perfectly balanced. The Jamaican-style poussin was another standout, with bold Caribbean spices that really stood out. For sides, the truffle fries and truffled mashed potatoes were luxurious and aromatic, while the lonely broccoli with smoked almond sauce added a quirky but delicious twist. And don’t miss the rooftop bar, M’uniqo—perched at the highest point in Munich, it offers panoramic views of the city and even the distant Alps. Sipping a cocktail there at sunset was pure magic. The spa is also impressive—the largest wellness center in Munich—with six private treatment rooms, a glass-walled indoor pool, a sun deck, and a fully equipped fitness area. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, this hotel delivers exceptional comfort, style, and service. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s an experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Rocco Forte the Charles Hotel

My stay at Rocco Forte the Charles Hotel in Munich was mostly positive. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing night's sleep. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in smooth and welcoming. However, I was disappointed with breakfast service. The self-service buffet area had visible cleanliness issues, including a fly on the counter, which made it hard to enjoy the meal. This is definitely something the hotel should address urgently. Despite this minor setback, the overall experience was excellent—great location, elegant ambiance, and strong value for money. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying here again on my next visit to Munich.
