The Algonquin Hotel Times Square, Autograph Collection

Staying at The Algonquin Hotel Times Square was an absolute delight. It’s a small, intimate hotel with a unique charm and elegant details that make it stand out. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and attentive service—always smiling, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The location is unbeatable: perfectly situated between Times Square and Fifth Avenue, making it easy to explore shopping, dining, and entertainment right outside the door. I loved how walkable everything was, and the convenience of being just steps from subway access. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a true NYC experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for style, comfort, and a central spot in the heart of Manhattan.

Moxy NYC Times Square

Staying at Moxy NYC Times Square was a great experience overall. The rooms are definitely compact—smaller than a closet, which is pretty typical for Manhattan—but that’s just part of the New York reality. What stood out most was how fantastic the whole hotel smelled; it had a fresh, inviting ambiance right from the lobby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. One thing to avoid: the Margarita package offered through the platform felt unnecessary and overpriced—definitely not worth it. Also noticed the elevator touchscreens didn’t respond properly when touched, but that was a minor glitch. Despite those small issues, the location, vibe, and service made up for it. I’d absolutely stay here again if I’m back in NYC.

The towering skyscrapers and iconic smokestacks lining the streets give the whole area a unique, energetic vibe. Despite the pricey surroundings, this hotel offers great value and comfort. I was genuinely impressed by the convenience and atmosphere. If I ever return to New York, I’d definitely choose this hotel again.

While the room isn’t large, it’s incredibly well-designed and spotlessly clean—everything feels brand new and thoughtfully maintained. I especially appreciated how quiet it was despite being right in the heart of Times Square South; it truly offers a peaceful retreat from the city buzz. The location is perfect—just steps away from the subway station, making travel around Manhattan super convenient. Whether you’re heading out for dinner, shopping, or catching a show, everything is within easy walking distance. In a city where prices can get steep, this place stands out for offering great value without compromising on comfort or cleanliness. Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square West

Staying at the Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square West was an absolute highlight of my trip! The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly—despite booking through a third-party platform, I still received all the Hilton Honors benefits including a room upgrade, bonus points, and complimentary drinks and snacks. That’s seriously impressive value. The hotel is perfectly located on a bustling street full of other hotels, just steps away from the main action in Times Square. Even late at night (after 10 PM), there were plenty of people around, and while I did see some unhoused individuals during the day, I never saw anything concerning—no scary encounters or safety issues. Overall, it felt secure and well-connected. One small note: there’s a nearby spice shop downstairs with strong aromas, but honestly, you get used to the bold flavors everywhere in NYC. It didn’t affect my stay at all. If you’re visiting New York, this hotel is definitely worth considering for its great location, excellent service, and fantastic perks.

Pod Times Square

I was looking for a more budget-friendly option for my trip to New York, but ended up booking the wrong Korean homestay—chaos started right from arrival. Thankfully, I switched last minute to Pod Times Square, and it turned out to be an absolute lifesaver! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Manhattan, steps away from everything. Yes, hotel prices here are high and rooms tend to be small, but the bunk bed room we booked with my friend was surprisingly great. It felt just like having queen-sized beds—each of us had our own space, and having outlets right beside the bed made charging devices super convenient. The room itself wasn’t big, but spotless and well-maintained, and we were lucky enough to get a higher floor with a nice view. Even though we arrived late, the front desk was very accommodating and let us check in early to drop off our bags. Plus, they offered free luggage storage after checkout, which was perfect since we had a late evening flight. Everything about this stay—from safety and cleanliness to service and location—was top-notch. A truly reliable choice in a city where every detail matters. Would definitely stay here again.

The Peninsula New York

Among three high-end hotels in New York with similar price points and well-known reputations, the other two fell far short of their five-star billing—definitely a disappointment. But The Peninsula New York? Absolutely worth every penny. The room was spacious, beautifully designed with timeless elegance and artistic touches throughout. Modern smart amenities made everything seamless, and the service—from front desk to in-room staff—was consistently attentive, professional, and warm. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This isn’t just a luxury stay; it’s an experience that lives up to its legendary name. If you’re visiting NYC, this is where you should stay.

Mandarin Oriental New York

Staying at the Mandarin Oriental in New York was an absolute highlight among all the properties I've visited. Unlike some of the more traditional or compact locations like the one in Milan, this one stands out with its sleek, modern high-rise design and floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Hudson River—views that are simply breathtaking, especially during sunset. The room, while not huge, is thoughtfully designed with excellent functionality and luxurious touches throughout. Being just steps away from Central Park makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the city—whether you're heading to museums, shopping districts, or Broadway shows, everything is within easy reach. The location, service, and overall atmosphere make this a top-tier choice. It's not just a hotel; it's a true urban retreat. Definitely worth every penny.
