SOTETSU HOTELS THE SPLAISIR YOKOHAMA

Coming out of the JR station's West Exit, head right and you'll spot an elevator right away—take it up to the second floor where the skywalk connects. Follow the row of greenery ahead, and you'll notice the two-stage escalator system. But don’t go through the left-side entrance—it’s just the first access point. For those with luggage, the easiest way is to pass by the escalator, keep going, and turn left at the third entrance. There you’ll find the hotel’s dedicated elevator leading directly to the 4th-floor check-in area. The whole route is well-designed and super intuitive, even with heavy bags. Smooth, efficient, and stress-free—exactly what a great stay should feel like.

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Sakuragi-Cho

We arrived quite late, but the staff were incredibly proactive and welcoming right from the start—check-in was smooth and they even offered helpful tips about the area. Unfortunately, due to our tight schedule, we didn’t get a chance to explore the hotel’s other facilities, but that didn’t take away from how comfortable the room was. The bed was cozy, the ambiance calm, and everything felt clean and well-maintained. Location-wise, it’s perfect—just a short walk from Sakuragi-cho Station, making it super easy to access downtown Yokohama or the train lines. For the price, this place offers exceptional value. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Yokohama—it’s a solid choice for travelers who want convenience and comfort without the fuss.

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Higashiguchi

This is the only hotel in my entire trip that truly deserves a perfect 10/10 rating, and its location is simply unbeatable. I actually changed my entire Tokyo itinerary just to stay here—worth every penny. Special thanks to a front desk staff member who speaks Chinese; she helped me rearrange my room booking seamlessly during the Japanese New Year period when our preferred deluxe twin room was fully booked for two nights. We were temporarily moved to a standard twin room, then smoothly switched back—no stress at all. The hotel’s location is fantastic: right next to a FamilyMart, and it’s less than a 2-minute walk to both JR East Exit and Keikyu Line ticket gates. From here, you can easily reach most cities across the Kanto region. The station underground features a huge shopping arcade, and just behind the hotel is another major mall with everything from pharmacies and cosmetics to dining and shopping—everything you need is literally steps away. For first-time visitors, it's easy to get confused: if you exit through the JR Central Arcade gate, look for the sign pointing to 'East Exit,' then follow the path past a large mural on the wall. Take the escalator down, turn left, walk along the left side until you see the sign 'Kita Higashiguchi A.' Ride the elevator up, cross the small bridge, and there you are—FamilyMart and the hotel are right in front of you. Simple, clear, no confusion. This place offers incredible value and convenience. I’ll definitely be back.

The Westin Yokohama

The Westin Yokohama is an absolute gem! Right in the heart of Yokohama, it's incredibly convenient to get to—just a short walk from the subway and even better, there’s a direct bus to Haneda Airport. The room was spacious, spotless, and had a gorgeous view overlooking the city skyline. The bathroom was top-notch with high-quality amenities, and I loved relaxing with a drink while watching the sunset through the window. It’s literally just a 2-minute walk to the Yokohama Museum of Art—perfect for culture lovers. I didn’t stay long (had to be out early and back late), so I barely got to settle in, but every moment I spent here felt luxurious and well worth it. The fitness center, dining options, and indoor pool are all excellent—this place truly delivers on comfort and convenience. A standout choice for any traveler visiting Yokohama.

InterContinental Yokohama Grand

Moving from a hotel in Ginza to the InterContinental Yokohama Grand was such a refreshing change—this place feels like a whole new level of comfort. The room is spacious and beautifully designed, with a stunning view of the Ferris wheel that makes every evening feel magical. I especially loved the bathroom amenities—they’re from Byredo’s African Travel Collection, which adds such a luxurious touch to the experience. It’s not just about the view or the space; it’s the little details that make you feel truly pampered. The value for money here is incredible—10/10 without a doubt. If you’re looking for a stylish, relaxing stay in Yokohama, this is the spot. I’ll be back.

Yokohama Royal Park Hotel

Yokohama is truly a livable city—especially when it comes to staying. Yokohama Royal Park Hotel stands out as a true landmark, offering breathtaking views in every direction. The room size is noticeably larger than comparable hotels in Tokyo at the same price point—definitely a great value. I was a bit worried before booking that the hotel might feel outdated, but my concerns were completely unfounded. The property is well-maintained, spotless, and modern in its upkeep. Everything from the furnishings to the amenities felt fresh and thoughtfully designed. If you're looking for comfort, space, and a prime location without breaking the bank, this is the place. Highly recommend it—book with confidence!

InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8

Staying at the InterContinental Yokohama Pier 8 was an absolutely fantastic experience—definitely lived up to the brand’s reputation. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered stunning views of the waterfront and harbor from the window. Everything inside was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with excellent lighting and a very comfortable atmosphere. Right downstairs, there's a convenience store, a shopping complex, and even a Starbucks—perfect for grabbing essentials or a quick coffee. The surrounding area is vibrant, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions within walking distance, making it easy to explore without needing to go far. The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama

We stayed at this hotel as a special treat for my daughter’s last summer vacation memories. The room exceeded all expectations—spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly clean. The view was stunning, and the atmosphere felt truly elegant and relaxing. What stood out most was the luxurious bathroom—so spacious and well-appointed, it left us genuinely impressed. The amenities were top-notch and added to the overall comfort. We also appreciated the breakfast buffet, which my daughter loved—plenty of options, fresh ingredients, and delicious flavors. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. This is definitely a place we’d return to, and I’d recommend it to any family looking for a memorable stay in Yokohama.

Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel and Towers

This was easily the best hotel I've stayed at during my trip. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, with excellent soundproofing—finally, a good night's sleep without any disturbances! The breakfast spread was outstanding, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients that were both delicious and wholesome. Staff were professional and attentive throughout our stay. The only minor drawback is that although there are five elevators, only one operates at peak times, leading to waits of about five minutes—slightly inconvenient, but completely overshadowed by how amazing everything else was. Overall, an exceptional experience with fantastic value, and I’d definitely come back.

Hotel New Grand

Staying at Hotel New Grand was an absolute delight—everything about it felt just right. The location is incredibly convenient, with a direct shuttle bus from Haneda Airport that drops you right at the door, saving so much time and hassle. I visited in November, and the hotel was already decked out in festive Christmas decor—warm, magical, and beautifully done. The courtyard is serene and picturesque, perfect for a quiet moment or a great photo spot. I stayed in the main building, which offered spacious rooms with excellent layout and comfort. The bed was wonderfully supportive—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. From the ambiance to the service, every detail felt thoughtfully curated. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an experience. I’ll definitely be adding this gem to my list for future trips to Yokohama, and I can’t wait to come back.

The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu

This stay was absolutely perfect—truly exceeded all my expectations! The location is unbeatable; everything from the city center to the train station is just a short walk away, making travel so convenient. I happened to be here during Christmas season, and the room decorations were stunning—way more festive than regular photos suggest. It felt like staying in a cozy American-style retreat, especially magical with the holiday vibes. Cleanliness was top-notch, especially the bathroom design: separate areas for shower, toilet, and bathtub—so practical and hygienic. My room (2208) had a balcony with windows that open, giving great sea views and fresh air. Honestly, it’s one of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in at this hotel. My only suggestion? Why not introduce seasonal themes throughout the year—spring cherry blossoms, summer beach vibes, autumn foliage—this would make each visit feel unique and special. Would definitely come back just to experience different seasons!

Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama Minatomirai Premier

Staying at Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama Minatomirai Premier was an absolute delight. The location is fantastic—just a 10-minute walk to either Minato Mirai Station or Sakuragi-cho Station, making it super convenient for getting around the city and heading to the airport. There are plenty of nearby essentials like a convenience store and McDonald’s, so you’re never far from a quick bite or daily needs. The hotel offers a parking lot with special rates for guests—great for those driving in. I especially loved the open-air area on the lobby level, where you can relax and enjoy panoramic views of Yokohama’s skyline. Bath amenities are conveniently located here too, allowing easy access throughout your stay. My room came with a washer-dryer combo (both dry and wet), plus laundry detergent provided—such a thoughtful touch! There’s also a microwave, a Refa hairdryer, a coffee table, and two chairs—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The best part? The view from the room includes Fuji Mountain on clear days. Waking up to that sight was magical, especially during sunrise. This hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and stunning views—all at a great value. I’d definitely come back.
