The weather was surprisingly mild for winter; a single sweater with a light jacket or down coat was more than enough. I even felt warm walking around, which was great. The hotel is incredibly well-located — just a short walk from major attractions like the Great Wild Goose Pagoda and Tang Paradise. It’s clean, quiet, and offers a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. One highlight? Free access to traditional Tang Dynasty-style robes for photo ops — just a deposit required. Staff were very upfront about the room being on the upper floor (loft), no surprises there. I stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. So much so that I’ve already recommended it to colleagues, who booked two more nights at ¥580 per person. That’s ¥580 per room per night for a standard double room with two beds — slightly higher than usual due to the holiday season, but totally worth it given the location, comfort, and overall vibe. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to catch a performance this time, but the area is packed with restaurants opening as early as 3 PM. If I return to Xi’an for the evening shows, this will be my first pick again.
