Still, I decided to give it a try and called the reservations team. I was connected with Miss Shao Linyang, who was incredibly helpful. Even though we couldn’t secure an additional room, she followed up promptly and made sure every step was communicated clearly. To my surprise, she upgraded my room and even left fresh fruit upon arrival. When I mentioned I’d be traveling with a child, she proactively arranged kid-friendly amenities, and the room came equipped with a mini-bar—thoughtful touches that really stood out. As a long-standing five-star property, the service level is consistently excellent. The location is unbeatable—right next to Wulin Night Market, and just a 10-minute walk to West Lake. On days when traffic restrictions made taxis hard to find, walking became the easiest option. Breakfast was generous in both variety and quality. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. Feng Qi Chao Ming·The Dragon

Staying at this hotel in the heart of Hangzhou was an absolute delight. Just a short walk from West Lake, it’s perfectly positioned for exploring the city without hassle. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable—bed was cozy, and I slept like a baby. Check-in was quick and friendly, with staff going the extra mile to explain all the room amenities. The 18th-floor pool and gym are fantastic—great views, well-maintained, and super convenient. Breakfast was outstanding: a wide variety of options, fresh ingredients, and attentive service. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. This was one of the best stays I’ve had in China—excellent value, great location, and top-tier hospitality. I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Hangzhou again.

Staying at The East Hotel in Hangzhou was a fantastic experience overall. The location is very convenient—there are plenty of dining options right on the ground floor, and the subway station is just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the city. The suite was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed with a unique theme that added character to the stay. The lobby itself is impressively large and stylish, with a modern aesthetic that sets the tone for the entire hotel. One standout feature is the self-service electric scooter rental kiosk at the entrance—perfect for travelers who want flexibility and freedom when getting around. I also want to give a special mention to Amy, who went above and beyond with her warm and attentive service—friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. We booked three standard rooms and one river-view room, which meant quite a few details to coordinate, but our client manager was incredibly patient and helpful with every request. Special shoutout to Manager Zheng—your professionalism and warmth made all the difference! The ambiance throughout the hotel is excellent. Our river-view room faced the sports center and Hangzhou Gate directly, offering stunning views. Waking up early for breakfast, we even caught the sunrise from the dining area—pure magic. It’s true what they say: 'The early bird gets the worm'—and we definitely did! Every detail felt thoughtfully designed, from the service to the scenery. A truly memorable stay with outstanding value. We were greeted with fresh welcome fruits, complimentary toiletries for our child, and a little New Year gift—a sweet touch that made us feel truly special. The room was spotless, spacious, and featured a massive 2.4-meter bed—perfect for families with kids. Best of all, the location is unbeatable: right next to West Lake, with easy access to public transit and major attractions. Whether you're here for sightseeing or just relaxing, this hotel delivers on every level. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be coming back.
