Absolutely exceeded my expectations! I went in with low expectations since the room photos made it look quite small, but upon check-in, the front desk surprised me with a complimentary upgrade—what a lucky break! The room was spacious enough that two 28-inch suitcases could be laid flat on the floor without any crowding. While some amenities do show their age—especially an old leather chair with peeling upholstery, which would’ve looked better if replaced with a wooden one—the overall cleanliness was impressive. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes pride in maintaining the space. Location-wise, it’s incredibly secure and central—right next to the National Assembly, with police cars often parked nearby for reassurance. Within walking distance are convenience stores, cozy cafes, and great Korean BBQ spots. Plus, the airport bus route 6007 starts and ends just steps away, and you’re literally a stone’s throw from the National Assembly Station on Line 9. Getting to places like Yeouido Mall, Hongdae, or Mapo is super easy—ideal for travelers who value both convenience and accessibility.

Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo
Staying at Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo was an absolute surprise and one of the highlights of our trip to Seoul. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 2-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, 8 minutes to a 24-hour café, 10 minutes to the subway (Green Line), 15 minutes to Hongdae, and just 20 minutes to Sinchon on foot. The room itself is compact but well-designed with excellent water pressure and smooth drainage. The bathtub was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Towels, tissues, and bottled water are available for free at the lounge—great for refills. The lounge area is huge and packed with amenities: self-service washing machines, dryers, even a dry cleaner! Every seating area has plenty of power outlets—so thoughtful. There’s also a large gym perfect for fitness lovers, and two spacious kitchens where you can cook or heat up meals. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English, making check-in and any requests super easy. This place offers such great value and comfort—it truly exceeded expectations. I took some photos during my stay, though I forgot that uploads are only allowed through the platform. Still, I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Seoul.

What really stood out was how quiet and peaceful the room was at night—no street noise whatsoever, which made for a restful sleep. The host was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, providing all sorts of everyday essentials, from toiletries to kitchen basics. It felt like coming home, but with a stylish, modern touch. This place offers excellent value and a truly comfortable stay—I’d definitely book again.
Hotel MIDO Myeongdong
Staying at Hotel MIDO Myeongdong was an absolute breeze thanks to its unbeatable location. From the airport line, just transfer to Line 4 and ride one stop to Hwaeom Station (Exit 1)—it’s a mere two-minute walk to the hotel. You’re only about seven minutes from the heart of Myeongdong, where you’ll find bustling shopping streets, New World Department Store, Lotte Duty-Free, and even the famous manga street nearby. The front desk staff includes a friendly English-speaking team member who made check-in smooth and welcoming. Clean rooms, great value, and a prime spot for exploring Seoul—this is exactly the kind of stay I’d return to again and again.
The Cube Hotel
The Cube Hotel is perfectly located just a short walk up the hill from Myeongdong Subway Station, making it super convenient for exploring Seoul. Right across from the entrance is a 7-Eleven, so grabbing snacks or essentials is easy. Check-in is self-service—after entering, you’ll find your name and bunk number on a board, along with locker codes. There are two male dorms and three female ones, with separate bathrooms for each gender. The shared facilities include two sinks, three showers, and two toilets—plenty of space for a hostel. I stayed in the left-side room near the lockers; it has no window but features a quiet air purifier running constantly. Breakfast is included—just pop open the fridge (available only between 7–10 AM) to grab bread, milk, and basic items. A great perk is that walking uphill leads straight to Namsan Park and Namsan Tower. I even took morning walks here heading toward Itaewon, which made my days feel peaceful. The place is clean, well-maintained, and offers a cozy common area for working or eating. I never explored the ground floor, but honestly didn’t miss it. Most guests are international travelers, though I did spot a few locals too. The rooms are quiet—no late-night chatter—and each bed comes with curtains for privacy. Just bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to snoring. I stayed two nights before heading to Busan, and I’d definitely come back. Great value, excellent location, and a relaxing vibe—highly recommend.
Nouvelle Seoul Hotel Itaewon by Aank

I appreciated the 24-hour check-in option—very convenient for late arrivals. Plus, everything you need is within walking distance: restaurants, cafes, shopping, and the metro station. This place truly offers the best of both worlds—urban energy and peaceful comfort. Highly recommend for travelers who want convenience without compromise.
Hertz Hotel
The location of Hertz Hotel in Jongno was absolutely perfect! I arrived earlier than check-in time, but they kindly offered free luggage storage—so convenient. There were tons of restaurants, small shops, and cozy cafes nearby, making it easy to pass the time without any stress. The room itself was spotlessly clean, and having a bathtub was definitely one of the main reasons I chose this hotel—it made for a relaxing soak after a long day. Bathroom amenities included shampoo, conditioner, and a bathrobe, though I did need to bring my own toothbrush. For multi-night stays, water bottles were conveniently restocked. One standout feature was the sliding mirror that doubles as a blackout panel—just slide it across the window, and you’ve got complete darkness, ideal for sleeping in late. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a straightening iron available in the room—such a thoughtful touch. I’d definitely stay here again. Excellent value and a truly comfortable experience.

We stayed here as a family of three adults, including first-time visitors to Korea, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. What stood out most was the in-room laundry facilities—detergents were freely available, and I brought my own small packet of fabric softener from Japan, which worked perfectly. A large tote bag is highly recommended for moving laundry between rooms. The bathroom amenities were exceptional: the shampoo and conditioner had a luxurious scent and texture, leaving a subtle, pleasant fragrance throughout the room after showering. It’s rare to find a full set of toothbrushes included in a Korean hotel, and the lightweight hairdryer delivered strong airflow without strain. In the dining area, they offer four levels of spicy ramen—while I haven’t tried level 3, level 2 was similar to a moderately spicy kimchi ramen, not too overwhelming. Everything you’d expect at home, like plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and containers, was readily available. Even our homemade kimchi from a local market didn’t come with packaging—we were able to wrap it up neatly with the provided wrap and take it back easily. The staff were incredibly friendly, with several speaking Japanese, which made us feel safe and welcome. We especially enjoyed meeting Star-chan, who’s originally from Iran—such a memorable encounter! Thanks again, see you soon! One minor downside: the coffee machine was a bit sweet, and there was no option to adjust sugar levels—so every latte came out overly sugary. The chocolate drink also wasn’t to my taste. Also, the power outlets were tricky—my C-type adapter (bought from a 100-yen store) would plug in but kept falling out, making it unusable. Even though another universal adapter worked, it wobbled and sometimes fell over, causing power loss. And unfortunately, the silk-pressed straightening iron showed an error message and wouldn’t turn on. But overall? This place felt more like home than a hotel. Late-night ramen or toast lovers were cooking quietly nearby, yet we heard absolutely nothing—perfectly peaceful. It totally redefined what a hotel stay could be. We’re already planning to return next time we visit Korea!
